Docks Restaurant & Marina

Very disappointed. Party of 7 for my daughter's 25th birthday. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The gator bites were awesome. Then we received a salad and one of the meals minus the hush puppies. Reordered drinks at this time. Ten minutes later two more plates. Still no drinks. Ten minutes later the last of the plates. The salad was full of bad lettuce. The fried food was cold. We received salsa with the shrimp instead of salsa. Still no drinks or hush puppies. Asked to talk to the manager and were told they could send the cook out. Waitress seemed a little disoriented.

You know this restaurant is going to do big things. The ability for this Owner and it's staff is amazing. Understand that it is not Normal... Change in people us hard, but in 2 months of me being in this Kitchen the two things I love the most start to be cared about a lot more... Safety all the way around and storage properties are closely guided. The great tall of consistency and quality are the best Me then here it comes the food matching the Bar and every body is wanting to come work Gain

Stopped by last Saturday (yeah I know it was Memorial Day Weekend). Got seating fairly quick, but this is where the fun begins. Sat for around 20 minutes and still no server, had to go to the bar for beer (bar tenders where great, reason for the 2 stars). Another 10 minutes or so passes (we are up to 30 min now), and still no server. Asked one of the servers where ours was and all she stated was that wasn't her section. Well guess what, found the hostess and indeed the girl we just asked was our server. We finally made an order (an appetizer) and waited, waited some more. Mind you we have been seating for an hour now and still no app. I know this place has potential, the other server in the main area didn't skip a beat. All her tables where served and food seemed to come out very quickly. Our server kept blaming the kitchen (stated that her other table had been waiting for over an hour). Well that was bullsh*t, the food for others where coming out just fine. I hope the manager of this establishment reads these reviews and handles the bad service.

Service was slow. When we sat down and ordered drinks it took about twenty minutes for the drinks to come out. Then when we ordered food the orders came out wrong. One of us ordered shrimp tacos and they just set a plate of shrimp down in front of us. I ordered a rare steak and they set down a medium steak. Plus we watched the second set of drinks sit there for about 15 minutes before the server brought them. Slow service, poorly cooked food, and overall a bad experience.

Nice little restaurant on a lake with beautiful views out the big glass windows which was the only really good thing about the place. Prices were a bit high for regular foods. Staff was very friendly. The place is kinda shabby in decorations and looked like it needed a makeover. The back deck was missing and there were lots of unkempt plants growing with no maintenance under the absent deck which made it look bad. The bathroom wasn't very clean.

Nice hometown restaurant and bar. First, seating was fast we sat down in upon entering on a Saturday. Second, service was slow and it wasn't that busy. Third, the food was generally mediocre. I ordered an appetizer of hummus which was watery, fried shrimp, french fries, and coleslaw. The shrimp was great, the fries were salty. Server forgot my coleslaw and when it arrived it was dry. But they did have an interesting menu. There are only two or three restaurants near here so I'll definitely return.
