Ebisu On Robson

Kind of a nostalgic spot that’s great for large groups. Stopped by for a birthday dinner and the food and service was fine but nothing to really rave about. Prices were a little higher than what I remembered but I guess that’s just the ways things are now! They also had those build your own drink with the carton drinks for $12.99.

A really good Sushi place in the heart of Robson Street. While they have some top notch sushi this side of the pacific, they offer much more than that. The unagi bowl we had was fantastic - with high quality eel. Oysters were fresh and delicious, and I recommend their truffle fries if you want a more western style appetizer. For those on a budget - definitely look into getting a bento box as you get a bit of everything without a big price.

I went here for the first time. It was good but the portions were quite small. We came for oysters for happy hour but they didn’t have it so that was disappointing. Make sure to call beforehand before coming to ensure that they have oysters for happy hour. We asked a couple of times whether they would be getting shipment but they didn’t. One of the lady servers wasn’t really nice about it when we asked. The food also took quite long. We only ordered three dishes from the happy hour menu and it took them an hour to serve and there was only three other tables that had customers. Definitely was not full from this. We also ordered a rice dish and a bento box. I think this place is good if you’re there to socialize and just have a light lunch or just have appetizers but definitely on the pricier side for what you get. Don’t go here hungry.

We couldn't decide where to eat and as we were crossing the road, I noticed Ebisu on the corner, located on the top of a building. Hands down the best meal we had all week in Vancouver - arrived in time for happy hour where we enjoyed great food at a discount. They made the best Alfredo I've ever truly had with fresh salmon and clams. Will definitely be visiting again!
