Just called in for a G&T off the bus from Bournemouth, down from Birmingham and over from Australia! 😂😂 It’s been a long day! Nice and warm at the pub and good service at the pub. Nice friendly service and good atmosphere. Dog friendly and it looks like a well laid out pub. Front and rear seating, restaurant seating, bar and indoor lounge. Only a short visit but I liked what I saw.

Friendly & welcoming staff. All our food was very nice bar the mac 'n cheese, which was heavy on breadcrumbs, medium on macaroni, and almost no cheese! But, staff took that off the bill unrequested and our other food (beef burger and fish & chips) was very good. Side order of onion rings was the biggest portion I have ever seen/had! Well worth going.

Great place for drinks with friends, lots of drinks to choose from, plus some yummy rum cocktails. Good atmosphere, didn't eat, so can't comment

Breaded mushrooms a tad overdone, canneloni very very hot. Went on 33% off offer, which was worth it, otherwise overpriced. Very loud the night we went due to pub quiz.

First visit to the monmouth ash, we came primarily to listen to the music ( wonky donkeys ) with friends so not sure what to expect. Have to say our experience was really good, polite helpful staff, good selection of drinks, glasses cleared quickly from tables and excellent atmosphere. We will undoubtedly be back to try food and simply to visit again, many thanks to all.

A beautiful rustic style old pub which serves great tasty food and has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is dog friendly with an ample sized car park at the rear.

I love going to the monmouth it's my local. The food is great too I also would Like to mention that there is a lovely man philip that works behind the bar. He's bubbly and professional, lovely to talk to. So lovely to have a warm welcome.

Although the pub is surrounded by scaffolding it's just as good as I remember from the last time I went there for lunch ....excellent and outstanding service from the staff and a very good choice to choose from the menu ...keep up the good work is all I say !!

Lovely evening at our local for a meal and drink. Disappointingly ordered half a rack of ribs and to my surprise only got served three ribs. Spoke to the waiter who checked with the chef and apparently all the packs contained three ribs. Considering how many ribs are actually naturally in a full rack of ribs this is not a fair description, would describe as a quarter rack not a half rack!

Beautiful pub/restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff. Good food and reasonably priced. Seen last review saying service was slow. I've not experienced this so maybe improved? Will be going back again.

We always finish off here after our Wednesday night mountain bike ride. Good food and staff always welcome us with a smile. Rear outside seating area is great after work on the late summer sun.
