What do I look for in a restaurant in order of importance?
Good food of course but that is no good without the following
Comfortable seats, and my pet hate, tables that don't wobble. Full marks here �
Tables spaced sufficiently so you don't feel cramped or overheard �
Subdued lighting with no glare �
Carpet flooring for the acoustics. It just seems to deaden excessive noise levels that spoil the experience otherwise. �
Some decent wine. The wine is pricey here but the table wine we had was equivalent to the higher priced wine in other Italian restaurants. So I was very happy with that choice here �
Attentive service was always very much in evidence �
Waiting time for food �
Waiters that want to serve you and show an interest with a little bit of banter �
Ticked all the boxes here and enjoyable experience. I just wish it were nearer to me we were 'out of towners'.
Went in for a beautiful dinner with my family tonight. We were served graciously by the wonderful Franco, for me, a true gentlemen with a soft approach and wonderful sense of humour. I had the grilled dover sole. I asked Franco to serve it with a lemon, butter and garlic sauce, vegetables and potatoes. The starter was a very fresh avocado with prawns and salmon garnish. Dessert was icecream. We have been here before and the ambience and service is always perfect. My tip is talk to the staff, build a rapport and ask them for whatever you want! They really appreciate that. Thank you for tonight Cassa Nova!
I've eaten in Casa Nova countless times and it's always the same, excellent. The consistent high quality of the beautifully prepared dishes is a lesson to many restaurants.

Fantastic atmosphere, food and service. Even the table linen was high quality here. I bought a lower priced non house wine and it was fantastic. To cap it all, a comp limoncello for my birthday. Flawless.
Casa nova is a well run local restaurant that serves up a great steak in peppercorn steak and tasty roasted mini potatoes. Service is warm welcoming and efficient.
Usually I'm too lazy to write reviews, but this one is so exceptionally good that I have to write something. I went to visit the UK for 3 days and stayed in Virginia Water. In the evening I went to Casa Nova alone, already being tempted by the menu on their website. The waiters (both the younger one and the older one) are very welcoming, polite, and made me feel comfortable. Everything was delicious. Risotto was made just right! The portion is copious----I regret not having enough space in my stomach to order dessert after the soup and the main dish. They were very patient when I switched to Italian to practice with them, and made the effort to provide me information about several nearby towns as I was house-hunting. I liked the hand-written bill in the end, which gives a warm feeling compared to those printed out by the machine. I think that my colleagues choose to have parties there for a good reason. Grazie mille per tutto, ci vediamo la prossima volta!

Visited for their Festive Menu in December 2021. All three courses were superb and cooked to protection. Very good quality both the food and the level of service which was exceptional. I liked the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant and definitely recommend for a special occasion.
We had a great dinner at Casa Nova. We are Italians with plenty of experience of Italian restaurants, both in Italy and abroad, and must say that we were truly impressed by the quality of the food and the courtesy of all staff.
We really felt back at home in Italy if only for a few hours.

What a gem of a place! Have been looking for this type of restaurant since our regular became less authentic! Dined here Saturday night with 8 family members and to celebrate my sons 21st that was postponed last November due to covid. This was a long awaited rebooking! It was faultless. Food excellent. Cooked to perfection! Drinks were flowing and our glasses were never empty! Service outstanding. Ambience was fantastic. All covid safe. I would highly recommend this restaurant! We have decided it’s our new go to place! Can’t wait for the next visit! I’m planning it already! Thanks casa nova for a truly wonderful night! See you soon
We visited The Virginia Water Lake and at first we had a lunch in this restaurant.All the measures was taken against Covid-19 .
We ordered a dish what wasn't included in the menu and they were really helpful to complete our request.
All dishes were delicious,copious and fast served.
All the staff were helpful,friendly and polite.
I recommend this restaurant.
Once again a really lovely lunch at Casa Nova, the food was excellent, and the staff are accommodating and friendly. We took friends for the first time and they were delighted with it and want to return again when they are next in the area. Well done and thank you again and see you soon.
I know from my experience the service and quality of food has been excellent, been there many times and I understand that some differ from their own time at Casanova.
On every occasion you are presented with breadsticks and olives at no cost keeping you busy whilst they get your starters ready. The waiters have been professional and considering some of them have been there for years you get to know them quite well, polite and consistently good in giving you the service required.
I have noticed that the portions are getting slightly smaller, however, this is because after you finish eating you will find that you are just about full so its all about getting the portions right.
Whether its the red meat or chicken along with pasta dishes they have not only been cooked well but the presentation on every occasion has been excellent.
