Review The Stables Cafe - Waddesdon

Sat outdoor. The food was very good. I got fish finger burger and the banana cake. Both amazing. The price is also very reasonable. Strongly recommended. I will come again. Just one thing: don't come on bank holiday. Crowded making service super slow. The exhibition next to cafe -- Eliot Hodgkin -- was great too. So sad I couldn't stay longer as I was in rush to enter house.

Popped in today for a family lunch. First of all there are two places that do food in the courtyard. One for hot sit down meals and one for takeaway. Sadly the selection of sandwiches in the takeaway was very poor, they only had five left at just after 1pm. In the end we went to the hot sit down cafe. We had a very varied selection including (and not limited to) sausage and mash, rarebit, poached eggs and croquettes, scone and jam and millionaire shortbread. I have to say the service was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious and piping hot! The staff had lots of new starters but nothing lacking that we noticed, they were all smiling and had great attitudes. The hot chocolate was absolutely amazing (that came from a picky 21 year old) so must have been good. We will deffo come back! Thanks Waddeston.

We came here after doing the light display. There was a nice range of hot and cold food and a good selection of drinks. There's plenty of seating inside and out and the service was fairly quick.

We were actually outside the stable cafe in the courtyard, where the three unusual beverage vans were very welcoming. We had a great pancake with lemon and sugar from one and hot chocolate and a apple spice tea and coffee from another. Then later on in the grounds we stopped by the aviary where there was another van serving hot chocolate with a shot of bourbon or rum and various other coffee and tea at reasonable prices.

Open with distancing, so only one person or family group could enter at once which was well managed. Service was helpful. Menu was limited but good quality sandwiches for lunch and ice creams.

This is the informal restaurant on the Waddesdon Estate, during the Christmas festival, so it was busy, but we managed to get seats and the service was really good. Some really good food was served

We had a coffee and an apple & cinnamon drink. Both were superb and it was lovely to sit by an open fire.
