I went there last night for my nieces 10th birthday - there were 14 if us in total and had a very nice meal and the waitress service was very good too. We were told that there maybe a little wait for our meals as there was only 1 chef on duty but we ordered and it wasn't that long before we received our meals. The meals and desserts were lovely - I will be returning for another meal there x

We went back yesterday for first time in a long while and must say what a difference in the food was lovely, staff very friendly and smiles on their faces too, haven't seen that in a long time. Would highly recommend it. BRILLIANT. ☆☆☆☆☆

We were very happy with the vegan menu, the vegan dishes tasted delicious, and they were good size portions. We missed some extra serviettes. Altogether we had a nice time, thank you!

Very nice pub for Sunday food, the sharing sundae is not for the faint hearted! Especially after having one of the XL burgers!

The Anchor is not quite like it used to be, the food quality has dropped considerably. Today we were served bitter lettuce with brown cut edges, for instance. A long wait for the food considering we were there very early in the day with almost no other guests present. The serving staff are attentive and tries to make the best out of the situation, though, but there seems to be a swift turn-over if staff in the bar and serving area.. The food is often dry, over cooked or seems less than fresh. It's sad, as this is a great local meeting place.

Lovely old building hosting an honest to goodness chain pub serving a wide range of good food alongside beers etc. The staff were young, enthusiastic and above all happy. The building is interestingly laid out and the gardens excellent, with plenty of seating and games for the children (and adults!) to play. A great and good value quick meal out with family.

We've been here a few times over the years and this is a lovely pub just of the A10. It's got a lovely beer garden and it serves lovey food and beer. What's do brilliant about this is that it offers 2for1 on all main meals everyday of the week. The food is lovely and we've never had any complaints.

Reasonably priced, staff a bit too chatty when serving food to table but would rather that rude. Lovely little place. Lunch time only seating available in bar not main restaurant area.

Been a while since my last visit. Food is great service is quicker now. Prices are a bit in the high side but you get what you paid for. Will be back sooner...

Friendly service and good range of drinks. Extensive menu and daily specials. Good for kids. Large car park. Not ideal for mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs.
