Myself and my family visit Tweed every week, and we all agree that the food, service and friendliness of the Staff is second to none. The food is always done to perfection, nicely served, and the atmosphere is so warm and friendly.
It is pleasantly set out, very comfortable and the food choices cater for everyone.
Tweed is our weekly treat, and we cannot recommend it enough. It ticks every box.
I visited for the first time today with my friend Yvonne who has been before. We had Afternoon tea with as much tea as we wanted. The food was fab, lots of choice of cakes too. Lovely staff and atmosphere. No complaints from us. We will be back again definitely
The second time I've visited this morning, and both times have had a fantastic breakfast. Staff are more than accommodating and always a delight to talk to. The food is always cooked to perfection using only the best ingredients (especially the sausages!). Thank you, and I will be back!
Tweed is our most favourite mum and daughter treat. The latte is fabulous, my daughter loves the deluxe hot chocolate and the cakes and pastries are to die for. The Lemon cake is a firm favourite for me, but the sweet specials are outstanding.. this week was Lotus Biscoff cheesecake, absolute heaven. What makes Tweed so special though is the fabulous warm welcome, the staff are so friendly and efficient. In some establishments, efficiency comes at the cost of warmth, but not at Tweed. All the staff have time for the customers, and nothing is too much trouble. We have visted on all different days, different times and for different occasions.. my daughter chose Tweed for her 15th birthday lunch with family and friends.. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you
5* quality wonderful place and staff very attentive the butchers nexts door is also a little perk to this lovely tea room
5* without a doubt & Thee best afternoon tea we have had. This is the 3rd one we have had here in about 18 months & it never disappoints. Scrumptious fresh sandwiches, a gorgeous variety of mini cakes as well as a trifle, meringue & cream scones! Took some home as lots left
Unlimited tea or filter coffee too. Well worth the money. Staff always attentive and friendly. Spotlessly clean inside and good atmosphere. We'll be back. Thanks Tweed x
Visited Tweed yesterday for lunch. The food was nice but little or no choice if you are gluten free. All my friend could have was a sandwich and NO gluten free cakes at all, which was disappointing to say the least. Service was slow and at one point they forgot our repeat order for hot drinks all together.
Visited here for the 1st time today and what an amazing breakfast. Quality ingredients from the butchers next door, really nice friendly welcoming staff and a lovely comfortable environment. It’s obviously very popular and had we not booked we wouldn’t have got a table. Tried lots of places for breakfast across Doncaster and this is now definitely our favourite. Some would say it’s not cheap but they also say you get what you pay for and this is certainly true here. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. The cakes and pastries looked amazing although we were far too full to try them. Good excuse to go back for an afternoon tea in the very near future.
Pop in for breakfast now and again. I'd go every day if I could. Delicious fresh food, the breakfast tastes great and nothing like the greasy stuff you get elsewhere. It actually looks and tastes healthy. I'm looking forward to a chance to try their lunch menu at some point. Staff are always warm and welcoming, it's becoming one of my favourite places to eat.
I have just spent a very happy few hours celebrating my birthday. Tweed is one of my favourite places to visit and my family organised the visit. The food was excellent and the service and staff could not be improved on.
Thank you for a memorable birthday
There is something for everyone!
The staff are a delight, diligent and customer centric. The food is of exceptional quality and the family butchers, next door, is an asset, to boot!
Thank you for an exceptional service!
Although small the menu at Tweed is extensive and their cakes are sublime! Afternoon tea is great value for money and you never feel rushed so a lovely way to spend time with friends or family.
Called in on off chance and managed to get a table. Food and service great. Will try and go for a lunch soon as menu looks great.
I’ve seen the great reviews online for a while now but never had the chance to visit until last week when I visited with my friend and our 2 babies. We both had breakfast and it was really tasty, quality ingredients and good value! I’d advise booking a table in advance as it’s small and quaint but very popular! It was that nice I even went back yesterday with my husband. Will be back again soon for sure!
The Wheatsheaf Hotel at Armthorpe is a large but quite a cosy pub. They do meals and the variety of beers and gins is a good choice. Like many pubs these days it ought to be more popular. The price and quality of beer is comparable with any other local outlet.
What an excellent afternoon tea, with fresh made finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, sausage rolls, finger cakes, cream trifle, and as much tea or coffee as you want, with a very traditional presentation.Staff are very friendly and not intrusive like a lot of catering establishments. My wife and I will definitely return to sample more of their menu. Also the Butchers shop is of the traditional type with all the fresh meats and home made pies at a competitive price with massed produced supermarket produce
We found this place on TA while visiting Worksop. Saw the reviews and decided we wanted to see it and taste the food for ourselves. The staff are really friendly. Nice cosy feel to the place located next door to the butchers. Great selection of food to choose from along with the specials board. Opted for a brunch and a home made burger, delicious 😋 perfectly cooked and presented. The lemon cake is to die for. Perfect. Light and tasty. So lovely and lemony with a lovely lemon sugar icing. Shout out to the chef. You deserve a medal. 🥇
Home-produced food, this small eatery is attached to the family-owned butchers and uses locally sourced products.
A cosy setting with friendly staff.
First time visiting Tweed today. The place is lovely and staff really friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh good quality ingredients and the best breakfast we’ve eaten out. Can’t wait to go back for the afternoon tea. Highly recommend x
