Called in for a catch-up with my Neice. Cheap and cheerful. One staff member looked like she was in a mood and was quite grumpy. But all the other staff were nice and friendly. We did eat here. Slight mistake with my order, but they were willing to rectify it, but it meant sending my meal back... th
Dropped in on a work night In Wakefield. Slightly disappointed that the dish i decided on wasn’t available but the chicken and bacon salad I ended up with was very good. Very friendly staff, everything was a bit sticky but that’s British pubs for you. Good food for a good price.
The pub itself it's abit worn not the best weather spoons I've been in but not the worst BUT the breakfast was one of the nicest ive eaten in any weather spoons perfect fresh runny eggs lovely !!
I enjoy this pub whenever in Wakefield, it's honest, friendly and a kind of raw friendly! Fantastic value on both food and drinks. Good place to just pop in.
Went yesterday morning for the rugby service was great food was nice and fast highly recommended
Great selection of ales as always, and at very reasonable prices. Was surprised to see premium ales so cheap in there.
Went in today for lunch. Staff really good and very helpful. Food was spot on, wife had scampi and I had buttermilk chicken. Both cooked to perfection with my chicken being very moist, juicy and very tasty. Wife says her scampi was lovely.
Great place to grab a bite to eat, lovely meals, and fast service.

A good J D Wetherspoon pub which is in the centre of Wakefield. The service was very quick and friendly. The choice of real ale is also excellent and the food was of reasonable quality too. The toilets were immaculately clean which was a surprise as not all are. The pub was decorated in a local styl
