Nicely decorated pub restaurant. Service was nice and although an error was made, this was quickly rectified. Staff at the till were friendly but shouldn't be so pre-occupied. The food was tasty and presented well. Plenty of parking at the front.

Visited today to try the new menu, Emily was so helpful and attentive! I had the hot porker burger which was amazing, my wife had the veg pizza which she said was tasty and it looked fantastic. Can't wait to return, the place has really turned around since the new management came in August!

Visited the pub today with family. Immediately felt welcomed at the door by Anne! Ordered 2 carveries, 2 pizzas as well as a burger between us and was very happy with the quick service and the speed of food arrival. Pizzas and burgers were some of the best we’ve had, many thanks to Chris and the carvery was incredible, compliments to Harry behind the deck. Ryan and Emily behind the bar were amazing and the service from Harriet and Niamh was incredible!

Called in on Monday 28th Nov 2022. Firstly, truly lovely team members working there. Very helpful and couldn’t do enough to help.
Secondly, the place was spotless. Busy pubs can sometimes look like they need a good scrub but this pub is well cared for.
Thirdly, the food. Ten stars if we could. Enjoyed every mouthful.
Will definitely be returning.
Thank you.

Big thumbs up to this restaurant/pub. After a winning round on the Wednesday quiz night here, we took our voucher to have a carvery and it was lovely. The whole dining experience was made really special by the hospitality given by Cheryl! From her bringing our drinks over from the bar, her checking in on us and making sure our food was ok.

Lovely pub. Always well presented and clean. Bar staff very friendly and welcoming. Lauren on The carvery is friendly and always happy to help. The meats are well cooked, the veg is fresh with a good choice. The bubble and sweak is a nice addition. Definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed our meal here , I had a carvery and my sister has the Camembert , everything was absolutely delicious , we had salt and pepper battered mushrooms as a starter and a shortcake sundae as dessert , very good prices for really nice food , there is lots to choose from on the menu . The place is spotlessly clean and the environment was great , staff very polite , helpful and friendly , we will definitely be back ☺️

Cheryl was an excellent server and was very attentive. Food was nice and well stocked up throughout our visit and the pigs in blankets were delicious. Was much better than the other times I have visited. Thanks Cheryl, you were excellent despite it not being your usual site!

Had the pizzas a few times and always delicious, try the set menu with 2 or 3 courses which are very reasonably priced.

Stop off here for a refreshing cold drink with my son and his nan.... before travel back home to Liverpool.... very nice, clean place inside with friendly staff... reasonable prices... Good atmosphere, and it also has outdoors bit, which is nice to sit in on sunny day (like we did)... free car parking on site aswell.

Enjoyed a lovely carvery. Cheryl on front of house made a huge difference to the organisation and efficiency. She was really good at her job and despite being very busy she remained customer attentive throughout. Based on today’s experience we will come again.

I visited tonight (Sunday 24th September) quite late on with my little girl as we were craving a carvery. When we arrived we managed to sit straight down, order quickly and go straight for our carvery. My daughter is T1 diabetic and coeliac and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, showing me the tablet straight away with what she can and can’t have from the carvery and helped her choose which sauce she could have on her ice cream. We’ll definitely visit again. Thank you so much Cheryl and Emily! 😊

If you're looking for the potential for a bad stomach and listening to screaming children all night then this is the place for you!
Having visited this place that was before it became a stone house I hated everything about it. Grubby, and a poor layout with a poor system of service. However after driving past and seeing the rebranding we (me and the husband) decided to give it a go. Sadly the branding, a few chair covers and a pizza oven was where the improvements ended. There was no knowledge of my booking once we grabbed a random member of staff behind the bar to ask. The tables were so close I felt packed in like live stock. My pizza was undercooked yet felt obliged to eat it, as staff working the tables to raise my concerns to were none existent.
The menu is pretty limited for choice, with options of pizza, burger or a Carvery. We didn't stop longer than it took us to consume our undercooked pizza and drink our drinks As we were sorely dissappointed with the entire experience, and a headache from the numerous children running and screaming about, maybe some thing to keep them busy?

Absolutely appalling service! Myself and two others had completely finished our meals before the kitchen had managed to get my other friend's two fried eggs out of the kitchen. When my friend complained and asked for a refund, nobody asked not seemed to care why. We asked to see the manager and she offered desserts on the house.... great.... but no, two came out 12 minutes later (cookies and ice cream thrown on a plate... obviously a 10 minute job) and the two banana chocolate sweetizzas came out 25 minutes later and burned. When we complained regarding this (some apology!) the response we got was that they had been "very busy this afternoon"..... no, Stonehouse that's no excuse! Not only we're at least half of your tables empty but even if the place was rammed, you should have enough staff on to cover this. There is no excuse for poor service. We were there for an hour and a half in total and one of my friends didn't actually eat in that space of time. Your staff need re training in their attitude towards good customer service.

8 of us went for a meal straight from work to celebrate a 60th birthday although we waited a little while until one of our group awaited a pizza.. they then after 15/20 mins cane to the table to say they had just put another pizza in as they had burnt the first one which I did not believe... although the remaining 7 of us did cue for the Calvery we had all finished our meal before the pizza came!!! The chef was grubby & they do seem to leave people waiting at the Calvery until they can be bothered to serve customers.. I have no complaints about the food as I feel for what you pay is good value..

Been coming here for a good few years now and never really had anything to complain about...food was always fresh and of good quality, visited a few time since it became stonehouse pizza n the carvery is shocking the food looks like it's been stood for hours and the meat is overcooked, this place has really gone downhill and i'm afraid myself and my family will not be visiting anymore...what a shame
Louise Price
waited nearly 2 hours for our food, i then asked how much longer it would be i was told 4 mins it never arrived i asked to cancel my order, apparently the cook had burnt the pizza and restarted them. although the girls being the bar boxed our food up and did refund me the food was bland, boring and burnt!

Been today with my partner. Sat in beer garden, we both had a meat feast pizza. We did have to wait 45mins for our meal, but while you wait could have salad/chips. Lovely food. They gave us a pizza box to enable us to take away any pizza left. Only reason given 4 stars, could improve on time meal arrives.

Would not visit here again! Ordered the mixed starters to be told there would be a 20 minute wait...40 minutes later were questioning where they were to be told (by a bunch of staff with bad attitudes) that they were really busy so there was a long wait (the place was dead!) and when they finally arrived there were missing dishes. The ones that did arrive were inedible and not something I would feed to my dog!! Staff were unhelpful, food was horrible and I would recommend to avoid this place like the plague!!!!
Maggie Kubiak
Carvery is awful chewy beef, food all over the floor, dried up veg and never any gravy 3 times I visited in last month and had to tell staff there's no gravy left and stood there while dinner going cold waiting. Swerve it, gone down hill, give the chef some more staff he looks knackered. Never again.

I went in for breakfast and the food was lovely and the staff were all very helpful. I have had a few pizzas as well and always really enjoyed them. I will definitely be coming again soon.

Two choices of meat only Turkey was over cooked and inedible. A lot of vegetables were frozen including the Yorkshire pudding. A few years ago it was nice, now i wouldn't recommend to anyone. A complete waste of money and so dissapointing
Gareth Flatters
Absolutely rubbish.
Waited in line for so long the rest of my group had eaten before the kitchen could bring out 2 fried eggs.
What a complete joke.
Staff didn't even care why I wanted a refund. Just gave me my money back.
Which shows how often this happens.
Avoid this place.
