Review The Lighthouse Inn - Walcott

Our twins and my husband chose this as the venue to bring me for Mother’s Day lunch and what a fabulous choice! Warmly welcomed, very busy but attentive service. Wide choice of drinks and a wonderful menu of delicious food. I started with a cosmopolitan cocktail as it was Mother’s Day after all :) all mums were given a little treat bag of chocolates and treats, beautifully wrapped, very thoughtful. Our starters included prawn and salmon cocktail, whitebait and chicken skewers. For mains I had my favourite Sunday meal … lamb shank which fell off the bone and was totally delicious accompanied by roasties and veg. Hubby went for beef & ale pie, our daughter a huge portion of amazing bbq ribs and she ended up taking 1/2 the portion home, our son had chicken stack…. All plates were cleared (except for 1/2 the ribs). We only ever eat two courses but the desserts were so inviting that even though we were pretty full from our first two courses we gave in, I shared a Malteser sundae with my hubby, our daughter had melting chocolate fudge cake (our son was too full to be tempted ☺️) All of the staff were friendly, engaging and nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful setting with a great atmosphere. We’ve been there previously in the summer where we ate in their lovely outdoor garden. Our family most certainly highly recommend this pub/restaurant. THANK YOU ☺️

The food was very filling and perfect so if you have a big appetite then this is the pub for you. I would recommend also using the campsite of which we used. The waiters that we had were very polite, kind and positive. Food was a good size, and the desserts were amazing 👏 . I would recommend having the ribs as they were very juciy and scrumptious. This pub is dog friendly

Everytime we come over from Germany we must visit you. Food and Service are always brilliant. It was only our Dog who was disappointed because he didn't got a Plate 🤣🤣🤣

This place was amazing. We went out for tea in a very large group. The staff was really accommodating and customer service was brilliant. The food was great, all fresh and cooked perfectly. We had cocktails which was also really nice and at a good price. Thank you. Would definitely return again.

Definitely worth a visit. Dropped in by chance as only passing and found this gem. Fantastic homemade food, friendly staff, great service. Not cheap but reasonably priced for the quality of food you receive.

We stumbled across The Lighthouse Inn whilst walking the Deep History Coast, and we were so pleased we did! We sat in the garden with our dog, where there were plenty of bowls for water already out, which was handy. We had the roast dinner today, which was lovely! Staff were friendly and service was great.

Nice pub, short walk from the sea front. Lots of parking and their own Campsite. We popped in for a quick drink, it was quite busy, with tables booked for the evening. Ordered at the bar, and was told they would bring the drinks to the table, great service! Had to pop back to the bar about 10 mins later to remind them about the drinks, and then had to wait about 5 more mins. I'm sure this was an exception to the normal, as others were ordering and reviewing food and drinks swiftly.

Looking for somewhere to eat and found this. Exterior unimpressive and car park in need of an update but once you opened the door it was completely different. Staff were welcoming and the food was delicious. Lovely atmosphere and will definitely go again- might have a starter and a delicious looking dessert next time.

Came in for a family meal while in the area & what a fantastic place. Excellent food (I had the steak & kidney pie and it’s the best I’ve had) fantastic friendly service. Would 100% recommend for any 1 in the area. 10/10

Just had a bank holiday weekend in Bacton with our 4 dogs, friends and their dog. We visited here everyday as the food choice was wide and dishes delicious! They were very welcoming of our 5 dogs inside for an evening meal and Their garden area was perfect play space while we lunched in the sun another day. A variety of specials and wide menus! We hope to return thanks for having us!

We live at Stalham and try several pubs for meals. You can't beat the Lighthouse for their steak & ale pie! Every meal we have eaten there has been gorgeous. Fish, steaks and desserts cooked to perfection. Friendly staff make this a great place to visit.
