Great pitstop for us on a long drive from Lancaster to Essex. May not look tiptop from the road due to its location but please disregard that. It's a gem of a pub!

What an absolute gem of a place, the food the staff the atmosphere were all 2nd to none. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be going back. You've got to have the treacle pudding it's amazing !!

It's our go-to restaurant when we are visiting family nearby. Fabulous home cooked food,with quality ingredients, served with great service and warm friendly staff.
Warm yourself by the log fire on arrival.
It's a little gem that is so easily overlooked when driving by. It also has a great variety on the children's and vegetarian menus.

Lovely meal, really friendly staff and good value for money these are photos of kids meal as I didn't get any others ha! But well worth the visit it doesn't look the most pleasant from the outside but the meal was beautiful
