We chose lal haveli for my husband's birthday dinner. We ordered desi tawa for 4 people. Food was good. Lamb karahi and chicken jalfarazi was yummy. Not happy with seekh kebabs and chapli kebabs. Other was all good. Lovely decor and calm atmosphere. Service is little slow. But overall all good. Must visit and try there desi tawa
Went out for a family meal to celebrate dad's 40th . Staff were welcoming and friendly , food was top notch loved the mix grill tatwa had a variety of chicken meat lamb wing allsorts of statter specials . .which came to total of £75fed upto 6 people and still had food left-over to take home ..kids loved the mocktail drinks..would recommend to other to go and try this place out .
First off I must say the food was excellent 👌🏿. The portion sizes were VERY big. If you have a sharing platter skip the starter, you won't finish it 😉
The restaurant is a little rough around the edges which is why I gave ⭐⭐⭐⭐, the toilets were not clean & there was no soap to wash your hands (in the mens), also the car park is a bit tight when full, so try to park at the front if you have a big car. The restaurant area is clean & tidy and the seating is very good. Food comes hot 🔥🔥🔥🙂
Visited this place 3 time now in all for my dad's birthday..Well actually because I LOVE the food here really , 😋 the grill style tawa Is our favorite cost around £77 feeding upto 6 people mixture of all the starter once could ask for .The staff were very kind and attentive .would recommend to others would also advice that they should flavour the peri chicken more and grill extra on the grill .but in all was lovely eating at this place ..
Food was great we had a party of 30 people so ordered 5x Grill Tava that serve 6 people each, we booked in advance so had to pay a deposit, the food was more than enough, the drinks come separately priced, which was a bit too much, service was great, however allot of food was left over, so they made us pack it, (due to covid we had to pack it ourselves). Saleem the manager was attentive, ample free parking, and clean toilets. *Update* Jan 16 2022, tried the Turkish Tava really nice however for spice lovers not spicy enough, we did request more green chillies which we got straight away, was even offered Naga chilli sauce which was spot on, the servers and manager were very approachable the atmosphere/ambiance very nice, any food left over was packed by the staff and handed to us this time, can't wait to go again, please try the Tava grill one of the best in town👌
We booked a table for a large group and were seated pretty much straight away, although a wedding was going on in the next room and the car park was full, there was still enough parking spaced on the streets outside this venue.
Food was actually very nice and the prices were very reasonable considering the portion were quite large.
Starters were very tasty and the mains were although spicy had a very authentic taste.
Steak was made by the former chef at Baba Reeba Walsall and the kids really enjoyed that too,
The staff were very friendly and the seating was very spacious and plentiful. I would certainly recommend this place for dining and socialising with friends & family.
Great night out with the family and kids .become a regular place now for my birthday.food was on point as usual fresh hott and sizzling., we ordered the mix grill tawa .and boi we ate all food and just left the tawa for the waiters, great place and atmosphere wasn't to busy as we went on a Monday evening but the ambient setting was just perfect, staff were very friendly and new faces ..would deffo go back with family and freinds .
I have been here a few times now. Today we went as a big group for hubbys birthday. The prices are soooo reasonable, they do big platters so the platters for 2 I would say is enough for at least 3 people and so on. Staff are accomadating and friendly and food quality is very good. This place is a hidden gem I would say.
One of the best indian restaurants in walsall. Food is always good quality and different. Would recommend to try the tawa dishes great value for money especially for families. And the service is superb!

I had heard about these "tawa" places for a while. The food comes out on a massive platter that includes starters and mains all in one place. I had to visit one. After looking at the reviews of this place I thought I'd give it a try. I tried calling and booking a table but it was always engaged when I called. We went anyway but I was mindful that we may get turned away due to the place possibly being really busy. As we went on a Monday I was hopeful they weren't. They were not busy and we were given a table straight away. The waiter was nice and the place was clean. We ordered a "desi tawa" along with drinks. I asked for a salad with extra green chillies. They were polite people and they obliged. When the salad arrived I asked if there were any poppadoms but I was told they did not serve or sell these and that is fair enough. The "tawa" arrived and the food was hot. There was a variety of foods to choose from and it was exactly as they said the food would be. I would have given the extra star if the plates were hot as I really have not a lot bad to say about this place. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. I would have asked for a bit more spice in my food but that is more personal preference than blaming anyone. There are a number of "tawa" dishes and all I could possibly ask for is more of these. All we asked for was provided and I would definitely revisit this place. Overall really good but I reserve five stars for a wow factor. No offense to this establishment as I think it meets to mark for four and a half stars
