Review Carpenters Arms - Walterstone

We needed somewhere to have a drink and possibly an evening meal. We found this pub close to the caravan site we were staying at. We were welcomed warmly and even though they were very busy with a big group they accommodated us an our Golden Retriever, great service, advice on the menu which was comprehensive. A very small, quait pub - they don't make them like this anymore!! The food was fabulous as was the service and staff - so much so we are going back for Sunday Lunch!

What an absolute delightful place. We were recommended here by the touring sit down the road. We had a wonderful warm welcome. Where nothing was to much trouble. The food was absolutely fabulous. A hidden little gem. Can't wait to visit again.

A great little country pub with good ales and ciders, and traditional food at very reasonable prices. Staff are really friendly and there is a great atmosphere. It's not large so booking on busy days is recommended. CASH ONLY

Brilliant lunchtime visit - fire put on for us in the snug by the bar. Great welcome, lovely well priced food and great Butty Bach Wye Valley beer. Perfect place on a wet cold day thank you!

Great local pub. Cash only, but amazing location, super helpful staff, and amazing outlook over the local church.

I organised a meal here for 12 of us to celebrate a special birthday. Sharon couldn't have been more helpful from my initial call through to the meal on the night in question. All of the food was superb and everyone enjoyed themselves. We'll be visiting again soon for a roast dinner on a Sunday and some bread pudding!

Lovely staff, cracking food. Really well done traditional pub food. Well cooked steaks as well as several veggie options. I personally recommend the veggie cannelloni. Lots of tasty desserts too. Note that they don't take cards, and the nearest cashpoint is miles away

Lovely local pub with so much history. Walking through the door is like stepping back in time. Wonderfully cooked food and reasonably priced.
