The George became our local 1.5 years ago when we moved round the corner. This is the perfect place to unwind after a hard days work or chill out at the weekend. We lovel the cosy feel of this recently rennovated pub which still keeps a traditional vibe. Recently we held our engagement drinks here and the manager Steve went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect evening. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Much improved after the refit. Clean and welcoming inside and a large number of tables outside ,front and back garden. The choice of drinks and (especially) ales is unusual and wide. The food was good and no complaints (well, 1 tip could be to add some parmesan to the Caesar salad, if you were fussy). The chicken tikka burger is highly recommended. We had a great time there and will be back soon!
