We attend the biweekly pub quizzes and have a great time. The staff are all friendly and it has a great atmosphere.
The only reason it's not higher is that the vegetarian options are somewhat limited.

I had two hour wait for an appointment so I stopped at The Ashley with my baby in the pram, the staff James and Anna were so good with my daughter getting a highchair for my toddler, and got her a box of crayons and activity papers to colour in, I didn't have to ask for anything but they went beyond to keep my baby happy, I will definitely be coming in here, we were really looked after, 10/10 from me

Not bad! First visit tonight and pleasantly surprised. Very nice food and a great atmosphere. The most pub-like pub in the area.

A friend and I come for lunch every 2-3 months and have done for years. We're always very happy with our visit - it's nice and quiet when we come, no pressure to leave and great food.

Really loved the food and lovely fire in the back room. The staff are always helpful and friendly and serve quickly. Always a great atmosphere too. Our food was lovely. Thank you for a nice evening.
Returned again this week and had another lovely meal outside. David was brilliant and all the staff here are excellent. I won't forget when a staff member asked if I was okay back in Feb of this year (I wasn't) and really appreciated this, the staff at this pub are wonderful, food and drinks are great, too!

Went in here last night for food and a quiz. Went in not expecting too much but boy was I wrong! Nice atmosphere and the food was incredible. Can’t wait for the next one! Count my Team (The Suckers) in for next time!

Staff were friendly, food was very tasty as it always is. (Not my first attendance) Atmosphere is nice and was in an ideal spot as is right next door to the travelodge and a 2 minute walk from the train station.

Been coming to this pub for the last 5-6 years, brilliant staff and service. Good food and good location!

I came here for a Sunday lunch as was visiting family nearby. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this gem! We felt like royalty when being looked after, I think his name was Dave (strong Scottish accent) - he was so attentive and made us feel like we were the only people in there!
Thanks so much, loved the roasts too they were delicious! We will be back!
