first time at the cafe today food and drink lovely. my only critique is the toilet is filthy the skirting, door , floor etc and the hand dryer didn't work. In such a small cafe they could do som about that x

This is a very pleasant place to sit with a coffee and admire the nearby pond life. The café seats approx 30 people. Some background music (radio) but it doesn't dominate. They had a few papers to read but I don't know if someone had left these previous to me. Good tasting food, but the coffee (flat white) was a little weak and needed more espresso. All the staff were nice and friendly. Lots of visitors seemed to be regulars. I'll be back.

Only had a Large Latte, but the staff were so on the ball and very polite.

I had baked potato with tuna sweetcorn, the portion was generous and the tuna was good. Very tasty!! It would be good if the staff knew a little more about food intolerances and what was in the food they serve but the service was very friendly. Apple juice was £2.30, it came in a 250ml bottle which makes it way overpriced!

The coffee that we purchased was hot and had a good texture. The service was quick (we wanted takeaway) and proficient.

First time there today. Had smashed avo and poached eggs on top of toast. Was nice but pricey when my regular cafe sells Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon for less. However, I would go back because the service was good and the food was good. Nice large mug of tea too!

Had a lovely BLT bloomer sandwich here, decided to eat out as there is the Mere Pond, where thoughtfully someone spend a lot of time and money on his flower garden and this gave me something nice to look at. Food was tasty and staff helpful and polite.

Best coffee and even better staff (if that’s possible)!!! This is the perfect spot to enjoy the best coffee with the friendliest staff. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and always have huge smiles on their faces. The view is also beautiful, looking out at the cute ducks and famous swans of Walton. You HAVE to give this place a visit and if you do you wont stop coming back! :)

On checking the menu nothing suitable for vegans but owners happy to offer something to eat jacket potatoe and baked beans which was delicious. Next time we visit they are willing to cook tomatoes on toast or mushrooms lots of options so can say it is OK for vegans to visit.Coffee wit Oat Milk great.

We love The Village Cafe. Always friendly and cheerful service no matter how busy they get. It does get busy especially on a sunny Sunday morning with a lot of cyclists and dog walkers. Good cafe foods and drinks.

This is one of the nicest and genuine café that I have ever been to! I came with my family, and we all were treated like royalty! The staff is extremely approachable and friendly and their breakfast menu is above and beyond. I have now found the spot with the best chilli beef jacket potato in the nation! Two thumbs up from me.
