I recently cycled here for an overnight stay with my girlfriend. The staff were very helpful in terms of accommodating the bikes - from booking and on arrival. The room was very nice and comfortable, but can imagine it may get hot in the summer as there is no air con. The bathroom was very nice, with a great shower and the bed was large and comfortable. It has to be said, that for the price, it was very, very reasonable. we paid £140 for an overnight stay, including £70 towards our meal, and a great breakfast with decent coffee. The bar was reasonable and the food was good, with italian meals that aren't necessarily the bog standard selection. If you are looking for an overnight stay, I'd recommend.

I booked La Fontana for my Dad’s wake with it being extremely close to Garford Crematorium. I had already been recommended them by a friend so no surprise that the venue, quality of the buffet, and friendliness of the staff were all excellent.

Room was clean bed comfortable and staff friendly. Breakfast was nice. Not much to do within walking distance although there is an excellent bus service on your doorstep.

An absolute great find. Booked here using the Dinner and breakfast package. 1 night stay. Such a relaxed place. A really well run family business. The food was outstanding as was the service. Superb selection of bar drinks and wine list all very reasonably priced. Breakfast selection was very generous. The rooms were spacious and bed really comfy. Nice selection of complimentary teas and coffee. Lovely overhead shower with loads of room. Would definitely recommend staying here and we would most definitely stay again.

We special ordered in advance the Mama Mia ravioli which we always loved but is no longer on the menu. Large parcels of cheese and spinach. Incredible texture and the sauce was very balanced and moorish. Trust me this is 💣 food. Our opinion is that Mama Mia ravioli should be on the main menu again. Well done La Fontana 👏

This family run restaurant (with rooms available) was a delightful to visit whilst staying with family nearby. Beautifully presented restaurant and professional but friendly waiting staff added to the yummy meals (can recommend the courgettes!) I was pleased they were able to accommodate my food request without any hassle. Will be back.

A very nice to stay. The restaurant was clean well presented & had a good menu, the see area was clean and tidy. The reception & restaurant staff were polite and helpful. The hotel room was clean and tidy. I only has 2 small gripes. 1 That were the shower heads looked grubby and needed a good clean. 2 the bed side lamps had not bulbs in them so did not work. Small thinks. I would stay here again.

We have never been to this restaurant before in 11 years of living in the area. It was fabulous. A set menu for Valentine's evening, but the choice was good and the food cooked to perfection. The staff were truly professional and I can't rate this restaurant highly enough. Thank you for a lovely evening.

I plucked this off the AA hotel booker as a cheap place to stay. I got a really nice room, excellent food, friendly service, and had a great night of sleep. When I say the room was nice, I don't mean "nice for a cheap place", I mean it was nice in comparison with most of the city centre business hotels I've stayed in over the years. It's a restaurant with rooms attached rather than a full scale hotel, but as a place to eat or to stop for a night, a place to remember. At the time I write this review the location flag is a little off. It should be at the corner of the A338 and the Stevendon Road.
