We had a wonderful Mothers Day Meal. 3 courses and the whole family loved it. Service was attentive and polite.. Sandra, Mick and the staff worked so hard to make this day special and run smoothly.The chef was outstanding he knows how to cook special dishes, normal menu is general pub grub. I highly recommend a visit if you're local give it a try. The pub is just how a village pub should be..booking advisable for food. They also serve a decent pint (which gets my husbands approval �) �
Found this pub today on out way home from a weekend away, would highly recommend this pub people very friendly and the Sunday roast was delicious just like home made will be going back very soon ��
Very welcoming pub, I turned up there late on a Friday night looking for guidance on where to get food for my heavily pregnant wife and for a small donation to the local charity they supplied us with 2 full plates of pie, mash and veg (to take back and microwave) and some milk for tea in the morning. Doesn't get friendlier than that!
Had a great meal and nice dessert. Friendly Staff warm atmosphere. Had a nice calm relaxed time.

Our Club Stevenage and District Motorcycle Club held it's Monday evening ride to The Boot. We had three group rides ranging from 40 to 50 mile ride out. They knocked the ball out of the park again with the food laid on. Recommend 👍🏼
I visited for an evening meal with family (3 x adults, 3 x children under 7).
We went on 'Pizza Saturday' and had a lovely time. Owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Clearly a friendly local pub with good quality and low-priced food (pizzas were just over a tenner). Beer was good quality as well. £55 covered all 6 of us, including drinks. Would definitely go again.
Came across this lovely little pub and teashop when looking for somewhere to have a sandwich on May Bank holiday. They were so welcoming. Lots of locals but very friendly. Lovely place to sit and relax for lunch which easily turned into a relaxed evening drink. We highly recommend
We had afternoon tea here and it was simply brilliant. Pleasant staff, great food and coffee in relaxed surroundings. Genuinely happy to commend it to anyone looking for an excuse to head out and about. There's some great walking in the area too. Fantastic value for money as well. The before and after photos tell the story. We'll be back
Just found this cute little pub in Dane End. luckily we happened to find it on a Tuesday when they run the BooTea tea room,(Monday to Wednesday). Half the price of any tea room locally yet high end quality cakes and finger sandwiches. Absolutely delicious! We had so much we had to take some home. They supplied a takeaway box for us. The service was amazing and Gemma and Sam are so friendly. We had the cream tea but you can chose sandwiches or cakes with huge choice of teas, soft drinks or any alcohol beverage you fancy. They also had a lovely little Easter hunt and colouring in for the little ones. I will definitely be going again.

Great pub, lovely atmosphere. Has really improved in the last 6 months, offering a range of services, introducing good food, friendly staff. Gemma and her team work tirelessly to bring new things to the village
Love it been two times and very happy with both visits, plenty of variety sandwiches, cakes, scones and even been and spirits.
Amazing atmosphere, you can tell a lot of care goes into this place and seems like a genuine authentic tea room.
The manager Gemma has gone to a lot of trouble sourcing lovely decadent crockery to give a homely feel.
Brilliant food, service with a smile, can’t ask for more!
Great local village pub! Always a nice warm welcome, good service and nice drinks on tap! They also cater for Sunday roast and afternoon tea with home made cakes.
