Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, the food was gorgeous and best of all it was dog friendly. If you have a pooch and looking for a pub lunch and a pint look no further. I highly recommend.
Lovely food we have been several times and have had something different everytime from the menu all have been delish. Very friendly helpful staff who give a very good service.
I was treated for A birthday lunch by my best friend of mine . food and service was excellent. Friendly atmosphere too would highly recommended .
Lovely place, friendly staff! Definitely will come back again
Lovely, warm and friendly pub with an older crowd - had a very enjoyable Birthday night of celebrations there last night 🎉🍾🥂😊
Really nice meal with very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Good choice of food available.
Delightful restaurant, very relaxed atmosphere, amazing staff, and the best Pecan Pie ever.
This is one of my friends and I favourite spots in town to get food. Been here many times and never have been let down with quality food. The steaks are stupidly flavoursome and always the best!
Make sure if you’re looking for a decent meal to come here. You will not be disappointed.
We came here for my sisters birthday and it was a brilliant meal. The venue is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. All of the staff we spoke with were lovely from the door host and servers to the bar staff. Our servers Anne and Grace were amazing and able to answer any questions we had and gave great knowledge of the menu and drinks. We had plenty of time to enjoy our food and we're not pestered every few minutes but we taken care of very well with check backs and drink orders being taken frequently enough to cause no issues for the great service we received.
I honestly am looking forward to going back to try some of the other items on the menu as the ribs were supper succulent and the bones just fell off with no resistance and the pie was amazing with a beautiful creamy sauce with a hint of tarragon and the actual pie casing was just as nice and sweet.
We hired the conservatory area for a wedding party, and we are so glad we did. The team was fantastic and went above and beyond in everything. Nothing was a bother for them, and they honestly made our evening so stress free. We opted for the hot buffet, which included pulled pork rolls, wings, ribs, ect, which went down a treat. All our guests commented on how great the food is. The space is great, and we had a good-sized dance floor and enough space for people to sit down. The outside area was great for photos, and the fairy lights came out fantastically in our photos.
Thank you for everything!
Had such a good time, great atmosphere and good food! Service was really friendly. Portion size was massive and I thought I was back in America. Not too expensive either. Cocktails and cocktails are available.
Amazing carvery, food and service both excellent
The Horseshoe is one of those places where you can sit outside on a summer's day and enjoy a drink and a catch-up with old friends, or grab a quick bite to eat from the kind of you would expect from such a place. If you are in the mood for a meal out then they have a huge dining area as well. Part of this is in a great extended post of the old pub with high ceilings and lots of space. The menu is reasonably priced with a great selection of food. The main pub area is separated from the dining area which is great on a busy Friday night when the local young generation are all out reminding you of life before kids (Sorry Ben, no offence 😁). There is loads of parking and a bus service if you want leave the car at home and go for it. All in all a great pub. Go to the bar and ask for Tim. Tell him I sent you.
Another good family celebration meal at this pub. We went with the Sunday roast option, and there were plenty of different meats on offer, plus a good range of vegetables and trimmings. They were really busy, so the service was a bit slow sometimes, but they can be forgiven for that.
Beautiful pub which is dog-friendly! Great menu and nice carvery. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Car park was full but parking is easy on nearby side streets. Lovely visit - would certainly visit again!
We came to this pub for Sunday lunch on the recommendation from a friend. We chose the Sunday carvery. There was a good choice of meats and most of our party chose the sirloin which was nice and rare. There was a great selection of vegetables to choose from and the roast potatoes, roast parsnips and Yorkshire puddings were also great.
We didn't choose a dessert as we were so full after such a great Sunday lunch.
We saw many other options on the menu so will definitely return here when we next visit family in the UK.
Nice friendly establishment. Food good, service good, staff friendly and attentive. Good facilities all on the same level and good access. Had lunch in the conservatory area which was nice and airy. Reasonably priced, would recommend.
Great food and atmosphere and friendly staff. A lovely Xmas vibe. What more can one want 🎅
I was very impressed by the food quality, selection and staff friendliness. I feel the prices are high but reflect the cost of running a business such as this. It wa Ms reasonable.
Very attentive staff and a good quality of food. Only criticism would be the initial order taking took too long. We were a table of 10 but it must have been 30 minutes until we were giving our food orders to the waiter.
This was my 1st visit to the Horseshoe for the Sunday carvery, & I have to say that I was impressed by the food. I only had 1 fault & that was the beef, they only had it medium cooked & I like mine well done, but all the other food was cooked to a high. I booked for 12-30 and it was full, great going The Horseshoe & I well be going again for sure.
Had the confit duck, delicious! Lovely staff, and lovely setting.
Myself & friends Payed a visit to the "Horseshoe" Earlier this week. Have to say was really impressed with the service & quality of the food of choice! Opted for Tiger Prawn Lollypops & Cote De Boeuf Steak (Medium), didn’t need a Dessert but if they were anything like the other dishes I’m sure we wouldn’t of been upset.
Good Service, Good Food what’s not to Like..
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A lovely pub that was very popular with the locals. First davice book in advance. We enjoyed the carvery and the desserts. IT was a terrific place for a family gathering or lunch for two. In finer weather the outdoor seating would be a great place to dine. The service from our waitress was excellent and all staff were really helpful. I would have liked to give it a five stars but the ladies in our group thought the ladies toilet was too small to accommodate that many visitors. 2018 the carvery was priced at £15.96 and that was three meats and all the veg and yorkies you can balance on your plates. The meat were perfectly prepared and very fresh not dried out. I can highly recommend this place.
