Came last weekend (Saturday) and again today (Sunday) for a family meal. Food was perfect both days. The Toffee Crunch Pie dessert was to die for.😍
Great little local, super friendly staff and locals, who accept you without question. Amazing interior decor, huge car park and gardens. Free WiFi, great menu, decent drink prices. A must visit. I'll certainly be back. Recommended.
Very pleased Upon arrival, lovely welcoming pub. We'd booked here for bank holiday as on the website the advertise children's play area, unfortunately it was unsafe and not available to use. We we're a bit disappointed 😞 until the food arrived. The food was amazing, we all chose different meals
Launched from there yesterday (only while closed) and couldn't believe how much they have done to accommodate the outdoors area for everyone, especially us paddlers, cant wait for you to open your doors again - well done guys. Hope next stop will include burger, chips and ice cold cider 👍👍👍👍👍
Good Sunday roast (plenty of beef and excellent roast spuds) and the staff were very pleasant and efficient considering they were short-staffed. I've knocked off one star though because our table was SO sticky, even though it didn't look dirty. I'd suggest a good wash down with a sugar soap solution
Comfortable room for us and our dog with welcoming staff. The food was fine.
When I booked I was asked if it was a special occasion. It was a 50th anniversary. They said they would decorate table, their suggestion and I requested a bottle of prosecco on the table. Neither happened so was disappointed. However food was very good and pleasant waitress. The table was a bit stick
The pub was very busy with a private function, but service was efficient and friendly. The food was unexceptional, but fresh and tasty. The vegetarian menu was a bit limited, so my wife went for an omelette. I went for a Cajun salmon salad. The portions were generous and the price reasonable. There
Went here for my father in laws birthday. There were 9 of us of all ages and included 2 vegatarians and 1 vegan. The service was excellent from the minute we walked through the door, friendly but professional. There was a great choice on the menu, which if felt catered for all tastes. The food w
We eat here about 6 times each year for the past 5 years and the meals just get better. A wide selection is on offer and we try to have something different on each visit. We have always been served excellent meals. The food is fresh, good quality and prepared perfectly. The staff pride themselve
Had my hen do in the gin tent last weekend. Had an amazing evening. Staff couldn't have been more accommodating and food was lovely.
A great place to have a meal, went for father's day, roast beef with all the trimmings, loads of different veg and roast potatoes were fantastic could not fault anything. Staff were lovely and leftovers were nicely wrapped up for us to take back to caravan park where we were staying, would highly re
Has a very 'village pub' feel about it, friendly landlord as we walked in and made to feel welcome. We were there for evening meal which was very good, excellent food. Service was a little slow (45 minutes from order) but it was a busy evening. New Gin bar looks interesting but had no time to try.
On recommendation we decided to visit The Jolly Farmer for our evening meal and we were not disappointed. The welcome was warm and friendly and the meals were traditional large and hearty. I had the carved liver and bacon and my wife had the duck both off the specials menu and they were delicious. W
Much improved from my last visit .. under new management and been given a facelift which works well. Lovely staff tho maybe more than 2 would help if you get busy. Average to good food from the specials.. pub food basics need work.. bland chips and presentation lacking care. Make proper chips people
