Me and my partner was walking past your shop the other day and smelt your food wafting up the road. We both thought it smelt amazing and said well try it on our next takeaway night. So tonight we came over and ordered fish, chips and curry sauce. It did not fail to impress! The fish was freshly cooked, the batter crispy and full of flavour. The chips were tasty, and the curry sauce too. Most definitely the best chip shop ever! Will definitely be coming again
Chips very good kebab was great. Definitely having again and will recommend to anyone who wants lovely food and great service.
For an "inland" chippy, the quality of the food was very good when we visited lately.
Light, crispy batter on the fish, (not oily), and chunky crispy fries (not soggy), good seasoning. And great tartare sauce. Decent calamari too. The brownie for dessert was also lovely, tender and moist. Great bottled cider (Aspall).
The only downside seems the amount of fries when sitting in seems quite lower than in the takeaway equivalent, and the added price of sitting in is quite substantial, even compared to a main in a regular pub. But the service was great, so overall a nice experience.
Wonderful meal with my wife! had a bank holiday day trip to Warwick and decided to pop in, having experienced Chip Shed in Bourton-on-the-water numerous times.
Lovely, fluffy fresh cooked to order fish (we ordered the Cod) with crispy batter, chips and mushy peas. Gravy on the side was a lovely addition.
Some others have commented on the price, but there are very few in any places this far in land and in the Midlands that offer quality, authentic and fresh fish and chips. To taste anything similar or superior you'd have to travel to Whitby in the north (for the absolute best) or the south coast. We have savoured many from seaside towns and beach front restaurants to compare, and Chip Shed definitely can stand up to par if not exceed many.
Oh and our server Leo was lovely, polite and attentive. Also, to dine in, costs slightly more than the take away front facing area. Just something to be aware of and pretty obvious whenever you eat in any restaurant that offers the option of either, so don't be a Scrooge and quibble the price. You pay for a service to dine in, as to be expected. (Family behind us where the gentleman was particularly rude and direct ).
Visited this place twice now upon recommendations from online reviews. The first time I visited, it was so good that we felt the need to visit again!
The food here is lovely, and has a real fresh taste to it. Both times I've visited, I've gone for the classic cod and chips, however people I've been with have tried other items off the menu and been equally impressed. The small chip baskets that are given with the meal are refillable, but given that the portion size of the fish is good, you might not need it!
Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Warwick, and I'm sure I'll be visiting again in the coming months!
Visited many times for take away and never had a bad meal. Probably the joint best fish and chips I’ve ever had, consistently. Slightly higher prices and longer wait times than most chippers but this reflects the much better food quality. Happy to pay and wait.
Travel from Coventry for this fish and chips. Always menu is always tasty with high quality fish. Service always friendly and quick. Maybe a little bit on the pricey side but it's worth it. 5 stars.
Brilliant! Wonderful chips and the pea fritters were amazing. All gluten free for me too. Thank you.

Exceptional fish and chips. The mushy peas were really good. Homemade and extremely tasty. Plenty of chips and the fish goujons were thick and tasty.
