This pub is a lot smaller than it looks from the outside but, nevertheless, it’s very nice. Great outdoor area too.
I love the fact that it has retained two rooms, disregarding the current trend to knock everything into one.

The land lord turned it around.its is a old style boozer not one of these jazzed up high street pubs. All it needs is a open fire with it coming up to winter. The outdoor area is well looked after what is fine in the summer months in the winter it can be for the brave only or a member of the shakleton team
The first bar area you enter is quite small but there’s a number of different areas throughout the pub. The real selling point here is the staff who are so friendly and make you feel truly welcome. Although it’s popular with regulars even on a first visit you don’t feel out of place. Nice enough range of drinks at reasonable prices mean I’d certainly visit again in the future.

Great little pub in the centre of Watford which isn't just part of another chain franchise, so a rarity! They've recently don't up the beer garden which now has to be the best in town, good selection of beers and ciders, reasonable prices, nice staff, just a really great pub!

Excellent service and a wide selection of beers. What they've done to this facility during the lockdown is unbelievable. I'm at a loss for words. You should come down and check it out; the barn is a small piece of Shoreditch in Watford. Fantastic.
Amazing little traditional place. Exactly how pubs should be where you can talk to everyone or no one - It's your choice. So pleased to see it reopened.

I love this pub always stop in here for a few drinks when I go to see Watford play the bar staff are very friendly and welcoming also any away fans who visit Watford are welcome in there too they have great pub garden too definitely worth a visit.

Recently refurbished, this pub had a complete makeover. I’ve been living in the Reed Crescent for 10 years and it is so nice to finally have a pub you feel safe to walk in and meet with friends and family. The owners are so friendly too. With Covid going on I noticed they clean seats and tables frequently which is important.
I recommend this pub!
Really really nice staff. I am not local, but I sometimes work and lodge here. They have been really friendly, especially Emma. Brought me my beer out to the garden. I will definitely be back.

Had the best night here over Easter weekend when dj si was playing. Absolutely beautiful area they've created outside, gorgeous and cool enough for a small wedding, highly recommend it!
My pub of choice for a pre/post match beer when I watch the night Hornets. Always a really friendly family atmosphere, and a decent sized outside space too. A great pub!
