Really looked after us, polite and professional service. Really lovely food. Couldn't fault it.

Went today (bank holiday Monday) we went early so was very quiet.
Food was absolutely delicious.
Prawn puri, and onion bhaji starters.
Mains...chicken Ceylon & chicken dhansak really , really delicious.
Will definitely be going back.

Just re-opened under the new name Taaza. Very quiet as restaurants start to re-open due to COVID but they looked after us really well.
They have a smaller and very nicely laid out menu so it's easier to choose your food options. ✔✔✔

Unexpectedly good food with the emphasis on quality, not quantity. Quite different from 'standard', Indian cuisine - little or no evidence of ghee, yet beautifully cooked dishes with excellent flavours that I've not encountered before... Living locally, I will certainly be back, though probably using the takeaway service! 👍
I requested no salt in my food and the chef sent an amazing meal …the chicken biryani was delicious, fresh and perfect. I like to have mine with Greek yoghurt and cucumber. The veg samosa was so good, not greasy, and chapati was like home made. And delivered with poppadoms and lovely sides of onions, raita , and mango chutney.

Had a takeaway after my son recommended. Very impressed, spicey when it was supposed to be, flavoursome and fresh.

Really tasty food. The food is always delicious and the staff are fantastic. Always feel so welcome when we come here. You really can't beat the service! The owner always comes over and personally makes sure you've had a great dining experience. Highly recommend and will most definitely be returning!
My first visit, and really should have come here earlier, and enjoyed it so much thinking already of the next. Some very interesting items on the menu that I would like to explore more in future visits. Delicious quality food and we all thought that. Will certainly try to visit on quiet days so we can enjoy the discussions and advice there. So lucky to have a restaurant like this i can walk to.
A slight problem with the ordering process was more than rectified by the nice manager who apogised profusely and gave me some freebies. The food was very tasty and well prepared. Will go again.
I've lived here for over 20 years and this is by far the best Indian food and service there is in the area. I was simply impressed with both the veg and non-veg, as was my family.
I will most definitely be ordering from them again! 😊

Re-launched as Taaza - you MUST try this!!
I was completely blown away today. The old Chutneys had grown tired and very average. Taaza is like a phoenix from the ashes. Brand new decor, and more importantly, a fresh new menu.
And what’s more the menu is executed perfectly. The food was simply amazing. And I don’t mean bog standard amazing. The food is high end amazing. Tasty, well presented.
It has been a very long time since I had Indian food this good. You have to try the sardine starter. The biriani is made properly with a pastry sealed lid. Monk fish curry delicious. Dahl as it should be.
This place has had care and love injected back into it and it shows massively.
Well done to the team. If you can keep this standard up you will blow away the competition.
Amazing. Folks try this place. Best in Watford at the very least, probably the best in the South.
UPDATE - I went back again this week. Folks, I can confirm that my first visit was not just a one off. I once again had excellent service and really really really good food.
This place is going to be very popular. There was a group of people who had travelled from North London sitting (socially distanced) behind us.

Was a nice cosy restorant now called Tawaz you can get a set meal for £12.95 starter main,nans or rice thats on Mondays. Staff was nice friendly.family run restorant.lovely deco really liked it.one of the chicken starters wasn't all that bland I must say and also only got 2 small pieces I thaught that wasn't worth it nore did it taste good.also sheek kebabs starter was lovely but again 2 small pieces could have done with bit more specially because of the cost.mains was lovely tasty.had chicken balti and cod curry wow really nice.could have had a thicker curry sauce to go with it but still amazing taste i thaught.they didnt have salt or pepper pots small things make big differences though so because of the little niggly bits I've given it a 4 star but I would highly recommend it and im sure ill be coming back soon. But pls sort these little things out to make it a 5 star.thank you.
Had a wonderful meal. The food was delicious and the service was second to none. Couldn't do enough for us. We stayed talking long after our food and they were totally welcoming the whole time. Accept the Taste card too. Will be going back 100%
