Really nice ambience in the restaurant and service was excellent. All of the dishes that we tried were perfectly cooked and presentation was excellent. The only complaint (and it comes down to personal preference) is that I wish the flavours had a little more punch. Small but good drinks selection. Will certainly come back and will be sure to try the wine bar next time.

Really delicious food and great service. Such a great spot if gluten intolerant like me but my bf loved it too. Definitely not sacrificing anything to be GF as is often the case! And thank you so much for ferry tip after finding out our ferry was cancelled. Went to the port the next morning and queued till we got on!

Hidden gem of Wellington.
I definitely feel like this place is underrated, the food is complex and delicious the chef has an amazing understanding when it comes to flavour profiles. You can tell the staff love working here & are so knowledgeable with their selection of wines from all over the world.The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere unmatched to most restaurants here in Wellington.

We had a shared birthday party at BambuchiSan for myself and my dog Bagel. We absolutely loved the great service, cool atmosphere and delicious food - we want to come back in the new year for more! We love this place for its homey warmth, casual style and smart creativity. Did I say food? The food is honestly great! We loved traveling around the world while sitting at the table, savoring Japanese pancakes, Mexican Testarossa, Canadian salmon pate and Polish mushrooms with buckhead and sour cream.
