Order: Fish, chips and a paua fritter.
Cost: A nut-tapping $25.40 😱
Fish was blue Warehou. The flesh was clean and tasty but of a small size in respect to price and what I’ve had elsewhere. The batter had a good crunch to it but held the oil to well which gave the fillet a greasy finish.
The paua fritter was delicious and packed with a lot of small chunks of paua and a nice balance of onion. The batter was thinner than the fish and didn’t hold too much oil.
The chips were decent, cooked well with a nice tan and soft inner.
I was told by the guy serving me that they use “real paua” to justify the price tag. 🤔
Definitely spenny for a chippy and won’t be going back there unless I win Lotto.

we are new to brooklyn area i must say food is good. its bit pricey but still good. Yous may need to update your menus, cause on the menu here chicken nuggets and chips are 11.90 i went to pay for it personally and he said 12.90 i did say you may need to update the menu cause its misleading.

Great service, fast and scrummy yummy food! I recommend this place to any locals and anybody looking for food! This is the combination chow mein!! So many vegetables, lots of meat! So combination lol, loved it a lot

Yum! I finally tried the cheese burger from this place really good! $8.50 so was doubtful but so so good with beetroot as well! Very well made :)

Excellent classic New Zealand takeaways, including all types of burgers WITH beetroot. Hard to find in the City these days! The chips were about the best I’ve had in Wellington- nice and crispy.

This is the best fish n chip shop in Wellington, maybe the whole of the north island. The customer service is impeccable, the food amazing and the prices fair, the lad who is usually behind the counter has great manners. big ups the mandem!
