The history of this building (built 1841) can be seen throughout the interior. Beautiful interior, very friendly staff and excellent prices. This is a wonderful kept secret and if you are ever passing through or even if you live in the area and haven't been, I highly recommend this spot.

Beautiful family style Hotel, with great hosts. Feed was fantastic and the vibe was great, with friendly locals popping in and the fireplace in the background. A mix of traditional style with modern technology hidden well in the background to have a wonderful warm feel. Planning the next trip already...

Great atmosphere in an old country pub. Mostly friendly locals wetting their whistles, but mostly visitors getting a feed. Good pub food, big serves.

A great night out, with the fireplace crackling in the background and friendly locals sharing yarns. Footy on the screen and fine food on our plates, what's not to love...

Built in 1841, the Lion of Waterloo is the oldest operating Tavern west of the Blue Mountains. It was once a passenger stop for Cobb & Co. Today it is nestled in a suburban street amongst residential houses. It has been well maintained with the many relics and history on the walls. It is cozy and oozes old world charm. The staff and patrons were welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately the kitchen was not operating so no meals were on offer but the beer and company was excellent.
