The Cock Hotel is a cracking Real Ale pub with a great range of 7 real ales including a mild and porter or stout. A friendly welcoming atmosphere and lovely staff.
Superb! First visit for some time to a place that doubled as home back in the 00s. New rooms are superb. Ales, Breakfast and Pork pies as good as ever!

We both had the sweet potato pie with seasons vegetables, I personally haven't tasted anything that nice for many years.

Came tonight with my family, the food was exceptional!!! Ross is a credit to the place with this autumn menu, something for everyone. Chelsea was brilliant serving us. It was busy and we absolutely had no complaints at all.
Had an incredible 3 meat Sunday Roast, all melted in the mouth! Thanks Simon for being a genuinely nice person too.
Must have passed this place many times in the last 10 years and never gave it a thought, but..........went for dinner on a whym and......absolutely amazing! Food was excellent..took me back to my younger years. Faggots.mash n peas..wow. followed by live music from Rowan Lawson. Amazing guitarist with many songs in his repertoire old and new. Staff were friendly and accomodating. I'll be back for more soon. If you want good food at reasonable price than go here.
Lovely surroundings and atmosphere. The Staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and the nicest we have had for some time. We will definitely be going back. The Manager was friendly and welcoming.

Went for drinks with the family, lovely friendly staff who also made our dog feel very welcome. Atmosphere was great people enjoying a couple of drinks and others food. Love the new area and the respect given to the history of the pub.
We went for a Sunday lunch as we’re trying new places in the area. The staff made us feel very welcome, the food dad lovely and it had a great atmosphere. We had the Sunday lunch which is worth trying. We are looking forward to our next visit.
10/10 food and service and dog friendly. We will be back. The owner was lovely and has a fantastic wine list.
I didn't use the room so I can not say but it is somewhere I am happy to return. My dog was welcome too. Everyone welcome and enjoyed food. Toilets very clean and maintain and stocked with complimentary toiletries.
