We nabbed a last minute booking and were seated at the bar, it did not disappoint! The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and the food was incredible. We opted for the banquet and every plate was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Seriously good food! Haven’t had anything this authentic since eating in the city of Damascus and elsewhere in Syria when you could still travel there. Portions are very generous so go with a group to share the experience 👌

One of our go to place for authentic Syrian food. Menu is well thought out. Service is always top notch!
The Tuesday platters are amazing and are definitely a must try !! The only downfall for me would be the dessert however, they use to make an amazing pistachio ice cream which was very good.

This restaurant is absolutely one of the BEST Middle Eastern restaurants in Wellington. The food is ALWAYS amazing, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Never had anything that I haven't liked! The staff is friendly and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable about the food and make excellent recommendations. We've brought as many of our friends here as we can because we just LOVE this place so much.

The food lived up to the hype of late. It was absolutely stunning. The staff were informative and fabulous. Loved everything. The fact the restaurant was full gave it a humming atmosphere in what is an average venue. Definitely going back as soon as I can get in!

Damascus has such a nice atmosphere, we went for the first time this Saturday as a group but it would also be a great spot for a date. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was great. Each dish felt really special and prepared with love and the portions could be shared easily.
We got to try some things we'd never had before like the kishk khadra which was so good, somehow equally rich and refreshing. Wine and dessert was also gorgeous, all in all a really interesting and delicious meal in a beautiful setting. Super vegetarian friendly too - will definitely be back :)

We had an early dinner before the WOW show at the weekend. Loved the range of dishes, which worked especially well for the vegetarian diner of our group. Excellent value for money, and fun to try a different cuisine for a change. We all loved the cauliflower! Delightful staff, excellent service and a great experience all round.

The great reviews and recommendation in the Kia Ora magazine definitely hold true- very yum food. Great to read about the last remaining Syrian wine producer. Only 15 tables so you need to book and pay a deposit. Worth it!

We shared such a great meal here. The food was delicious with exciting range of dishes & fresh flavours. We enjoyed every dish we ordered & looking forward to trying different ones next time.
The service was also fantastic - attentive, knowledgeable & friendly, which is quite uncommon these days.
