The food is so nice. Definitely the best take away in welshpool.

Dubious as heard bad reports, but the food was lovely, service was friendly and efficient, they tweaked their menu to make my choices vegetarian for my family. I would definitely go again.
I've visited this place twice now to use the takeaway both times the food was excellent nice large portions very tasty and hot the lady behind the counter that served us was really polite and helpful the man in the back kitchen( possibly the boss ) was also polite and good to talk to. I've read some of the ( bad )reviews and to be honest I struggle to agree with them I suggest you try it for yourself and then give your own review.
Absolutely love this place! All the staff are very friendly, the food is delicious (especially the chicken chow main) Got the food pretty quick and it was a Saturday which is the busiest day so I was happy to get my food. I recommend going here if you go to Welshpool! You can sit in and eat too.
The Lantern has been in Welshpool for decades and has always been excellent. They have a good range of veggie dishes and are flexible in making ‘specials’ to order. Highly recommended.
Top tier scran after a nice day at the beach chips, chicken balls and curry sauce all quality best chinese I've ever had belly was extremely satisfied.

i went to the lantern for a meal and the waiteress was lovely and really polite and went out of her way to help me , because i didnt know where i was going , the food was really really nice and the atmosphere was really homelly and its was verry clean and tidy id recommend all my friends and family to go there for a meal or even eat at the restaurant . im going to give a 5 star review because i really couldnt fault anything about the place at all , thankyou staff you really made me feel welcome , and the wateress was really really nice , i really didnt mind leaving a tip for the chef and the waiteress , thankyou ill call again for deffo on my way through
I can easily give 4 full stars for this place. Price was good, food was good ( I had a sweet and sour chicken with boiled rice) , amount of food was also very good.
Had a lovely meal here .. ☺️ nothing was to much .. food was great!! Takeaway is always done on time! Highly recommend :)
Food was relatively quick considering the amount of orders that was going through to the kitchen, nice bunch of staff and the food was excellent!
First time here and ordered a beef curry, found it very tasty, the English girl behind the counter was very helpful and got my order very quickly
