Fantastic find. Excellent quality meat and not too expensive. We were lucky enough to be able to share one of the Tomahawk Steaks. It was cooked to perfection, beautifully seasoned, fat had been nicely rendered down, meat pink and juicy, everything edible (except the bone of course). The sides were equally good. Sweet potato fries, chunky chips and, I've never been a fan of mac & cheese, at least that was until I visited Coopers Grill, its fantastic, light and fluffy, nicely seasoned. We opted for the peppercorn sauce, which was amazing and also had the bourbon sauce, which for me was slightly too strong flavoured for the steak. There was nothing wrong with the bourbon sauce, it was just that the meat was so flavoursome, it was a shame to mask that awesome flavour and quality with a strong sauce. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is that I think front of house needs a little more training on their product and how meat is served dependent on how you've asked for it to be cooked and it was very hot in the restaurant. Admittedly, we are having a proper summer this year but it was uncomfortable dining in such temperatures. It is an old listed building which is why they don't have air con, but I am sure there are other solutions possible to them. Other than that, top notch and strongly recommend this place for a high quality meal.

We have been here many times. 4 children and 3 adults. We always find something good on the menu. Staff are great, music is really really good. Food is good, fish is excellent and a good large portion, even the children’s! We don’t have sides as were usually full on the main and a desert!

Was a bit bewildered at husband's choice of restaurant. However, I thought the service was lovely - I assumed the men serving drinks and food owned the place as they were so nice and attentive. They were also lovely to our 11 year old. The steak was fab and the chips great. I never leave reviews but happy to in this case. Thank you.

We moved to the area a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised to find this on our doorstep. It has the best food around by far. Any visitors we have had over the last few months have been brought here and each and every one of them have commented on how good the food is. The service is brilliant also. Always so accommodating. We celebrated my dad's birthday here last weekend and they had no issue bringing out his birthday cake and even sang him happy birthday while playing the guitar. Would highly recommend to everyone.

We had lunch booked at the Carvery..Easter Sunday, The Service was EXCELLENT. , I chose the Carvery, very generous portions , too much to eat.. A choice of 4 meats , I had a sample of three, and was offered a piece of the fourth. Friendly Chef.. Prawn Cocktail was lovely. Wine was a Fair price I think the Management must have changed, because we had a lovely experience. I wish them well for the future..

Went for a carvery...impressed...large side of 3 meats which was Turkey, gammon and beef. Sides where plentiful and food was fresh and hot. Thought would have to book but just turned up and welcome with open arms. Felt very welcome when arriving and staff looked after us well.

I'm here now with my family for my son's birthday. We're waiting to order deserts and that is not going to disappoint. We had French onion soup, beef rib, lobster thermidor, Boston rib and the kids had burgers that you wouldn't think came from a kids menu. I've marked this place as a favourite and next time going to try the 36oz Tomahawk steak. Service was second to none and we were made to feel very welcome. Lovely place.

Lovely food as always but I think they might have been short staffed that night as the lady who was serving us did not stop moving all evening! She kept service going very well but it did mean things from the Valentines menu got forgotten - another table had to ask for their complimentary drinks on arrival, after their starters had arrived, and a few people did not get their sorbet cleansing course, which wasn't the end of the world as the food we 'wanted' was all lovely and well cooked.

Was a last minute booking when leaving the game fair for 10. We were with our Dutch friends which included the Dutch working dog team. We could not have been better looked after or made more welcome . The food was excellent as was the service. The whole evening was faultless great value for money. A good evening for Anglo Dutch relationships well done all

Me and my family had such an amazing experience on our first time, staff were extremely friendly and were always making sure we were okay and were happy. They were also very chatty and just made us feel very welcomed, the food was also amazing there was a big variety of foods and it all came out very quickly even though there was a lot of us, so nothing we could fault at all. 5 stars and would recommend to everyone we will definetly be paying another visit soon
