This pub is absolutely lovely! and a very rare find even in these countryside surroundings, It's worth reading the history about this pub, fascinating! Cozy fire place, beautiful beer garden quality food, free parking, the staff are amazing. If you like country walks then this is the perfect place
Delightful place. Staff were friendly, happy to interact naturally. I thought the food was of decent quality, presented well and the beer was cold - exactly what i wanted on a hot day in their beer garden
Drove up from London, First timer, Great atmosphere Very friendly staff Really enjoyed my trio roast As Arnie says ILL BE BACK LOL
Friendly and attentive service with plenty of space between tables. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals; Duo of lamb, burger, lasagna and wood fired pizza. The chunky chips were very good and the deserts were delicious. Would definitely eat here again.

The chimney being it’s main feature this huge pub has so many rooms and a good outdoor garden. Only one hand pump beer… which is a shame.
Have not been here in years and todays visit did not disappoint. All of the staff were lovely and attentive. Good range of drinks and food menu. Will definitely go back.
