The Country Bumpkin is a real gem of a place, my husband and I have been fans for years and as it's grown it has never lost its charm or roots, the breakfast is one for champions, the Wild Food Nights are truly amazing with dishes you would only dream up, I'v yet to have afternoon tea but it's only a matter of time :-) I highly recommend X

The best afternoon tea in the area. Lovely cake, sandwiches, and scones. Where else can you get a full teapot of tea? Lovely friendly staff that stop for a chat and don't rush you. Now they even have a farm shop the pork pies and scotch eggs must be good because they had sold out and that's what we wanted! Still that means another visit.
The best place for miles! The food is amazing, the staff are more than accommodating and the position of the place is just perfect. Couldn't fault it!
Lived in Selwyn garden city all my life and didn't know this little gem was here really friendly staff lovely breakfasts and the homemade scotch eggs are to die for would highly recommend that you visit here
This was the nicest breakfast, super little place and very popular. Great service by the staff. Real tea in a cosied teapot with bone china cups and saucers. Will be trying their next Wild Food Night, looking forward to it.

Travelled from Halifax and came across this delightful country cafe!! Excellent food, excellent service and an excellent team of people making this a really friendly and enjoyable place to stop for breakfast. Definitely worth a return visit!!!!
My third visit this week! Had a great evening with a group of friends at the pizza and Prosecco night upstairs. 2nd visit the weekly cup of tea after a walk and tonight the Wild Food Night. No visit disappoints and this week the food was very different but excellent on both evenings. Great pizzas and deserts! The Wild Food Menu was fantastic and beautifully presented, and as usual a superb friendly service from all staff. Thank you very much for creating memorable evenings. Looking forward to the next one!!
We would like to thank all the staff for a great afternoon we had for my mothers 96th birthday, the cakes was brilliant and the tea kept flowing, but to top it all you brought out my mums cake with a candle on top to which she will never forget. Brilliant !
We travel about 30 miles from North London to visit here. The food is excellent as are the people that run it. Although it's a long drive, it's well worth it.

Absolutely loved it. Would love a soft drinks menu if possible but other than that amazing!!
A lovely little café. Great food, and they catered for my son, who requires gluten-free options.
What a great little cafe, very friendly staff, amazing breakfast superb loaction.Lovely vibe.
Met up with a friend and had an excellent breakfast for lunch. Only open between 10am and 2pm but a super little cafe for drinks, cakes and lunch. Well worth a visit on your walks if in the area.
Probably the best brekkie in the area! Excellent quality and brilliant, friendly service. Note that some have given only one star because its not very vegan, which is very shortsighted and very unfair. Another had to wait in a queue for their coffee! - perhaps the fact there is a queue is an indication of its popularity! Still, you can't please ALL the people I guess. I've used on numerous occasions and always been very happy, as have my guests! Keep up the good work!
Discovered this lovely little farm eatery which served delicious, locally sourced food. Our breakfast was yummy and the staff were so friendly. We will be definitely returning!
Went for the wild food night, really enioyed it. A six course menu based on wild British food. Highlight for me was the venison tea and cheese and chive scone. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere. Will come again!
The cafe is popular with walkers and cyclists. The staff are friendly and the place is located near stables which is great if you love horses x
What a find! I had a sausage and egg bap with chips which was fit for a king! Very friendly people! Will definitely be back!
Superb, had the bumpkin special, delicious, tea served in lovely china pot and cups, only dilemma is next time would i ask for extra bacon rasher with the special, not sure it needs it, guess ill just have to try it again to check.
Lovely little cafe, perfect for a tea/coffee and a slice of cafe. Great quirky features - someone there is certainly very creative!
