My wife and I had lunch yesterday. As usual it was first class. The portions were very large and of really good quality. The staff were excellent - attentive and professional. The General Manager was very friendly and welcomed us, and made a point of coming to our table a couple of times. A well run
Friendly.Knowledgeable staff providing excellent service and food superb. We were a party of 4, all choosing different lunch meals and all enjoyed along with a coffee and chocolate treat at the end. Highly recommend.
Two lovely lunches here. Very friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly in bar area. Lots of outdoor space too. Food was excellent and sensibly priced we thought.
We met friends for lunch after not seeing them for five years. Opting for the Wagyu beef burger, I was not disappointed! Succulent, tasty and filling! Sticky toffee pudding absolutely finished me off.

Fabulous evening last night - thank you all! Dinner with friends and family... absolutely fabulous food!! I had scallops followed by 8oz sirloin and topped off with the magnificent lemon merengue pudding. We all loved the food! Back soon.

Great stay at the Lion. Rooms very good and clean. Foodand drinks excellent. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. Definitely would go back.
