The Stag Inn - West Acre - Photo album

Popped in to have lunch on a Sunday. Sadly they don’t do a Sunday carvery but have a decent menu from which to choose. Not much in the way of options for vegetarians or vegans. I opted for the venison burger which was available. My first time eating venison oddly. Great burger, cooked well with a
We just dropped in for a quick drink and received a wonderful, friendly welcome from locals and the landlord and staff. A quirky, hidden away pub, ideal if you are walking or exploring the area by car. The only time I've ever seen a hitching post for horses at a pub - literally all welcome! The menu
We popped in after a long walk . Even though they were very busy and had a quiz night they fitted us in and served us a curry which was delicious. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. It was our first visit but we will be back. Thank you Angela and John

What a cozy friendly pub. Loved reading all those messages. Go visit to understand, you will not be disappointed. Lovely staff and a super place to while away the time.
Wonderful quirky little pub with the best landlord ever! Real ale is kept very well and the food is delicious. Will always go back. Fabulous!
Lovely pub - had a really nice Sunday roast and the most delicious chocolate cake for dessert which you must try! Really lovely atmosphere and dog friendly which is a bonus.
Great pub , only the 2nd tme I've been in there , never actually tried the food but what was being brought out looked really nice . Really friendly staff ....strangest toilet decoration I've ever seen ..
Was looking forward to visiting this pub but unfortunately I had to deduct a star due to a somewhat frosty reception from the landlady, when I asked if she took CAMRA vouchers. Limited Gluten Free options meant my wife had to watch me eat lunch while she had crisps. That said, the food and drinks we
What a hidden gem! Wandered in here on a whim during a lovely dog walk through Castle Acre - and so glad we did. The decor inside was probably the best I've ever seen for a pub. The main bar area was cool, clean and somehow managed to be both decadent and understated at the same time. The wine was e
A proper pub with a good selection of drinks, good service, nice people and an amazing Sunday Roast Beef!!
Loved it. What a transformation! The locals should be thankful they have such a great pub when many are struggling@
Having not visited here for quite some time I walked through the door and wow just wow After finally picking my jaw up off the floor I had a walk around. It's been completely re-jigged. The bar is amazing! The extra little touches like the swivel seats are amazing! The restaurant is lovely, the herb
Very good food and service. We will be back tomorrow x And I ate all banana split
The staff. Where very helpful and polite. The food was superb. Not sure about the decor, but I would definitely go there again.
Lovely village pub. Very friendly staff. Good food and generous portions. Great drink selection. Will be going again
Friendly staff and atomosphere, deliberate colourful graffiti on toilet doors and walls, lovely exposed timber ceiling. We had sausage sandwich with salad which was very good. Check for opening times before you go, as only open on selected weekday lunchtimes.
After a walk round Castle Acre and finding the pub there full, we decided to try The Stag Inn. We were a group of six and had a very warm welcome and they were able to accommodate us plus 2 dogs. We had a lovely lunch, lovely atmosphere and will definitely return. Thank you 😊
