Review Eden Arms - West Auckland

Awesome food, friendly atmosphere great value. Sorry about the photo, I just wanted to get stuck in! The lamb shank was incredible, falling of the bone with plenty of delicious gravy! Bar area with pool table and darts if your looking to be social. I preferred the more diner friendly tables at the other side, though there is a separate dining/function room if you are looking for something more intimate at the back. Varied menu and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Hats off to the barmaid behind the bar today. She has a queue of about six, two for food and the rest for drinks. She was very efficient, calm and delightful to everyone.

Lovely village pub with fresh home cooked food, my meal was beautiful and presented well, very reasonably priced

We have been coming to this pub for over 5 years now, and used to live round the corner. Now that we live North of the Border, we don't get to go as much as we used to, but always make it our go to if we are in the area on a Sunday for a Sunday Roast. Friendly staff and great food!

Very family friendly pub. Food is of a high standard and the new Thai menu is immense. Always made to feel welcome when we visit. It is only a few hundred yards from my doorstep. Highly recommend.

Had a meal here tonight and I had the cornbeef pie, chips and peas. I couldn't fault the place, it is proper hearty home cooked food and the chips are to die for. The dining area has a nice vibe to it and the cook and barmaid were so friendly. Highly reccomend this pub and i will be visiting again.

Staying at the nearby hotel but booked in for Friday evening meal at the Eden Arms. Lovely 'proper' pub food. If Carlsberg did 'Steak and Ale pie'...........probably the best pie I've had. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good to see it's managing to keeping busy. Great effort guys. 👍

Food was excellent. Far better than expected given the appearance. Would happily pay £12-16 per meal. Offer of 2 for £12 is outstanding. COVID measures pretty poor however. Did not feel particularly safe.

Busy little place. Nice staff. Happy enough for us to leave the horses outside. Lots of more local people came outside to see the horses. Very welcoming

Went in for a pint to check it out as staying at a nearby hotel. Typical pub but didn't have an overly 'friendly to outsiders' vibe to it initially. Had a pint and the landlord came and introduced himself. Didn't eat there though so can't comment on food.
