First time visiting and l have to say we will defo be returning. Big portions and excellent taste. We went for medium cod with medium chips but could have shared as there was enough for two.

We have been here many a time and are prepared to queue, knowing that the quality is worth the wait. This particular evening our 2 haddock and chips were the best ever. Chips to die for and the most succulent flaky haddock was sublime. Can't wait to return. What a treasure on our doorstep. Yet another good visit today

Superb fish & chips AND DOG FRIENDLY
Hove fish & chips and that means I know the great ones, from the good ones and the poor ones.
Not only does S&E produce excellent fish & chips - light batter, wonderfully fresh fish - but I must also really commend the owners for making the sit down area DOG FRIENDLY. Next to the takeaway is an attractive seating area of 6 tables where you can eat your takeaway free of charge. The lady owner that serves is super friendly and welcoming.
Give the unpredictability of British weather it's often a big challenge where dog owners can get a snack or meal inside when it's wet. We expected to have to take ours to done covered seating along the sea front do it was a brilliant bonus to find out we could take our dog Baxter inside.
First rate fish & chips, first rate staff AND DOG FRIENDLY. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful fish and chips, freshly made to order. Battered sausage was also spot on. Was fairly busy when we went there but you get a ticket and wait till it's read out, wasn't more than 10 minute wait. I had a medium cod, regular chips and mushy peas. Was more than enough for me!

Some of the best fish and chips anywhere. The cues show this to be true, will often be cued for 30 to 40 mins to get in but it's so worth it. Amazing fish and chips reasonably priced. The specials are always worth a go. I had tempura king prawns this time and they were magic. Lovely. Chips. Batter is not too soft or crispy, perfect every time. Mushy peas are great. Only bit of feedback from. Me is the. Curry sauce wa disappointing. Over all 99/100 though. If I was to have fish and chips on my. Death bed this would be the fish and chips for. Me! Marvelous!

Gorgeous fish, chips & curry sauce. Very busy, but the service was very good. It's difficult to park outside, so it's easier to find a parking space, then walk there. Well worth it.

But what we did have was well worth it.
