First night stay before hiking the Herriot way with 3 friends. A lovely cosy village pub. Met by Pat who gave us room keys and told us to knock anytime if there was anything we needed. Room was spotlessy clean and smelt fresh. Lovely thick white towels and a lemony scented shower gel which was a bonus as I only packed a very small bar of soap (traveling light for a 4 day hike). We ate tea in pub I had fish and chips very nice. A very comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was also good plenty of choice. Cereal, fruit juice and cooked breakfast. Couldn't fault this place.

We have just spent 3 nights here. The room was very clean and comfortable and lovely and warm. We ate in the pub on 3 nights, meals were all very nice, my husband had the steak 2 nights as it was so nice and cooked just as he likes it. Very nice atmosphere as there are quite a few locals in the pub. Breakfast was very nice and again cooked well. Beautiful location with a short walk to waterfalls.

Fantastic place to stay and eat. The room was comfortable with a lovely fresh scent. The breakfast appeared with perfect timing. The evening meal (boozy beef) was lovely. The host (Pat) brought a smile to our faces. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Stayed in Aysgarth, found this little gem of a pub online. Quaint decor and a homely feel. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was quick and friendly.

Dropped in here as got caught in a heavy shower visiting nearby falls. Very friendly owner with good selection of beers. Just had a sandwich but the specials board for evening meals looked very inviting. Proper local pub

The best night's accommodation we found during our 6 week stay in UK. So friendly, welcoming, with fantastic food, comfy, clean beds and bathroom and a fantastic, host. A truly authentic pub stay. Wow! Made our holiday the best.

Went here for a pub dinner and it did not disappoint. Food came out quite quickly, wonderfully hot and tasty. They even offered dessert but there was no room left after such a glorious meal. Would definitely go again if we're in the area.

A great little village pub we popped in for drinks whilst visiting the waterfall. Reasonably priced. The lunch menu, special menu and dessert menu all very reasonably priced. We didn't eat but all the food that others had looked lovely and we are hoping to pop back and have food if we get time!
