We ordered three starters and they all taste very nice. The staff are very friendly and food is good. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Recommend to go back again. Next time we’ll try their main dishes. We had a very nice dining experience.

This was a birthday meal. It is a long time since I ate Persian food. The meal was the best that I have tasted. Beautiful individual flavours which kept exciting my taste buds. The menu was extensive and something for everyone,. The food was beautifully presented. The service, overseen by the owner, was first rate.. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed with some original features. Now my number 1 restaurant.
This place is beautiful, it’s more than a restaurant. We go to try the latest wine on the menu and then tuck into the delicious grilled meats!

Glad to see this new addition to the already rather crowded West Byfleet restaurant scene. It’s good not least because it’s different to anything currently there. If you crave highly spiced food then it’s not for you, as the dishes are all very subtly flavoured, albeit delicious!
Service and food were both excellent, the menu caused us a little confusion as there was almost nothing on there we recognised, not having had the pleasure of Persian food before. Our Hostess however was extremely helpful guiding us and I’m happy to say that the end result of the Kabob mixed platter and a Lamb Stew with Mixed Herbs, Kidney Beans and lime leaves all turned out to be utterly delicious.
There is a decent and reasonably priced wine list too. I'd also add that their pre-opening refurbishment has resulted in a very tasteful and refined ambience. You can even just pop in for a drink or snack, the lounge area looks very comfortable.
All in all we had a great meal and look forward to returning to try more dishes. I’d not hesitate to recommend it and will be bringing friends there when we get the chance.

Persian food at it's best. Super yummy. Highly recommend the pistachio ice cream. The best Ice cream ever. I also had the Chello Kebab so delicious.

We visited Chello last night for the first time. It’s not just a restaurant it’s a Persian experience, from the moment you walk through the door of this establishment to the time you leave we were bowled over with the extremely hospitable staff, ambience, interesting decor, delicious food and of course the history of the building.
Originally a J Sainsbury store the current owner has painstakingly restored the most striking mosaic floor that is around 100 years old. It’s just beautiful. The rest of the decor and lighting is interesting and has been carefully thought out to ensure diners are made to feel warm and comfortable.
Large selection of drinks available including cocktails and we enjoyed a pre dinner drink at the gorgeous solid wood bar.
Staff are more than happy to explain the good sized menu. We had a mixture of starters that were cooked to perfection and were so tasty. Our main meals we opted for a mixture of chicken and lamb kebabs on a layer of traditional warm bread with varied vegetables and of course the famous Persian chelo rice. All food was of an extremely high quality and standard and the best Persian food we have ever tasted.
The owners have done an amazing job with this restaurant and such thought has gone into absolutely everything including all the little extra touches. Just loved the coffee liqueur spoons, sugar pots and the inspirational women picture in the ladies toilet.
We were truly impressed and can’t wait to visit again.

Beautiful atmosphere with music, attentive smiley friendly staff in a professional manner, well-presented drink and food, delicious food, not long waiting at all on a Sunday evening to be served. Road side parking was free of charge on weekends.

I have been in many Iranian restaurants in different countries, and Chello is on top of my list. Everything is so satisfying there, taken from service to food.
I would highly recommend Chello for anyone looking for a quality and lovely Iranian restaurant!
Wonderful food, wonderful hosts, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The rice is absolutely divine. The mashdi bademjan is delicious. The chai is great. Will definitely be coming again to get some local and authentic Persian food.
Service was really good and I liked the decor. The food was reasonable - mixed grill was tasty and rice was excellent. Hummus was horrible and why put caramel sauce on baklava!?! But overall a good experience.
