Stopped for a quick pint on the walk to the train station. Busy enough. Cold beer. Very friendly bar maid/owner? Drunken Royal Marine was the only issue but he was comical. He ordered a pint of Guinness and when the server gave him the debit machine he held it up to his ear and thought it was a phone call. Magic. She apologized wonderfully to us. Visit if you're nearly

It's not hard to see why this is the Camra North Ayrshire pub of the year. A great pub in the heart of West Kilbride and only a short hop from the train station. There is one real ale on tap and usually from the local area with the Ayrshire Brewing company making a regular appearance. Others on tap are all the usual favourites. Interior is tweedy without being cringe, has some eclectic lighting and a cozy wood burner. Dogs are welcome, staff are friendly and there is a pool table round the back. There is live music and quiz nights during the week.

Smashing local pub with friendly staff, and a good atmosphere. They have a good selection of draft beers, and cocktails. At the time of writing this review they are only opening Thursday to Sunday, but will hopefully be fully open soon.

NICE. It’s alright in here, smart and well presented. I was a little disappointed at the selection of ales and it’s wasn’t cheap (~£4 pint) but a posh place for a classy beer.
