The Railway Hotel

The atmosphere here was jolly, there were a few groups of people that knew each other and they included my friend and I into their conversations, which I thought was friendly. The staff are amazing, very polite, courteous and helpful. The food was delivered quickly and was hot. I would definitely recommend this pub. There is a car park and ‘tap in’ car registration, it also has a garden with ample seating and a smoking area.

Big booking for a 40th birthday on Saturday, food was lovely, and didn't wait long. Great prices, drinks were fairly priced. Bartenders and servers were great. Downstairs toilet wasn't left open for baby changing and disabled customers. Was too long waiting to ask bar staff for key. This was the only downside, but a major one as I have copd and the stairs were too much

All the staff were very friendly and helpful although there should have been more than one server when we arrived at 2pm. Orders via the app for drinks to be bought to the table unfortunately was not successful as there was not enough staff. I ended up going to the bar to get the drinks. The place was nice and clean and the food was ok, nothing extraordinary, and pricey for what it is. I did enjoy my visit and will go back when the meal deals are in place

My wife and I were enjoying a well deserved meal out which on the whole was very good except my wife who doesn’t drink alcohol ordered a coke which was Pepsi from the pump which was pretty much flat when asking about it I found bottled coke was available which would have been preferable if I’d known. For dessert she ordered mini munch sundae with flake that arrived with smarties and no flake I ordered what I thought was a raspberry Eton mess and turned out to be mainly strawberry and on cancelling that opting for a bowl of vanilla ice cream which when checking the bill cost £4.29 which I don’t feel was value for money other than that we had a pleasant experience.

I would give 4 stairs but I indeed gave 5 stairs because my sister's choice prawn cocktail was frozen & my eldest son's soup was warmer then hotter. All over the service is good & quickly. Foods are delicious & asked me which one vegetarian or Vegan before service to me. Staff are friendly & check with us if need more drink, unfortunately they didn't wear mask for safety for my mum's sake because she had heart attack last January this year. It's was lovely Christmas Dinner. I would come back unless make sure any foods are not frozen or warmer enough.
