After lots of recommendations we stopped here for coffee and cake. The recommendations weren’t wrong! Delicious apple cake, chocolate hazelnut cake and lovely coffee. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Another customer had their dog in so I presume they allow dogs too. Highly recommend!

Absolutely lovely atmosphere and service is great. Not a fan of anything on the menu since the chef changed but that's on me and I primarily come in for cake and coffee anyway, of which is absolutely lovely. There's also a rotating menu which I need to look out for! Definitely would recommend

Rustic coffee shop with swing, jazz music in the background. Friendly vibe, nice coffee and lovely cakes. Good spot to go before an early show at the theatre.

I love this place. If you're stressed, just sit down, have an excellent coffee, and read a book. The staff are friendly, and care about those who stop for a coffee. The world needs more places like this little drop of heaven.

Anke is a lovely, warm-hearted lady from Saxony and she has created a cosy and welcoming lounge where you can relax, people watch and enjoy excellent teas and coffees (I've fussy, these are genuinely excellent) as well as a local specialty from Dresden: Eierschecke. This a soft cake made with a layer of sponge, quark and egg/vanilla pudding. Like a light baked cheesecake. REALLY delicious. Eierschecke is an odd name for a cake too: it comes from a kind of thick belted coat in the 14th century that looked like it was in 3 layers, above the belt, the belt and below. Like the cake. There's a pony called Schecke for this resemblence too. Anyway! Back to the cafe! They've an upstairs room that can be hired out and they're starting to do music and crafting courses. I think it'll grow into a great venue in itself and a cultural hub so the more we support it the better. It has a rear, open garden too. Mostly flat, so reasonably wheelchair accessible. Disabled parking beside co-op very close by. Still think the bathrooms need some work, but they're only setting up there, so I'll give them a pass on that. Overall, I'm looking forward to relaxing there a few times over the coming Autumn/Winter and eating that amazing cake!

Love the atmosphere & music. The service is friendly and prompt. I had a tasty toastie and delicious home made cake with coffee and drink. I will come back for more.

What a great find. A very cosy place indeed. Had a lovely cup of coffee. Owner was very friendly and had time to chat which was so nice. Independent shops like this need to be supported. I will definitely be going back.

What a happy find in Southend. Very good coffee, one of the better plates of shakshuka I’ve had anywhere. And friendly to go with it. Highly recommended!

Quiet, cosy and relaxed cafe allowing you to forget the hustle and bustle outside for as long as you visit. For a small cafe, they have an extensive range of items on their menu - mostly sandwiches, etc. - and a range of cakes with allergy information clearly visible. Some vegan cakes now available!

This is by far the best coffee /tea shop in Southend and Westcliff, beautiful people and wonderful experience make it the only place to go! Forget what you have tried before this is the only coffee shop your heart will ever want!
