Bear Fish And Chips

Literally just popped in for some chips and was not disappointed! The chips was lovely as was the staff. I even asked about allergy options for one of my children with a future order and was met with a really helpful friendly attitude. The menu looked great and pretty good prices - I will be returning!

Great little chippy at great prices and very friendly staff. Nice to see some things on the menu which you don't always see at other chippys such as battered halloumi. I have suggested to the owner to expand the menu to include a few more vegetarian/vegan options as that market grows. But never been disappointed there. The chips are excellent - real chip shop chips! :)

We had been craving fish and chips since the beginning of lockdown. Found this place on the way home from our daily cycle ride. Fab find! Freshly fried and enormous portions.....as a first time customer, they put an extra enormous piece of cod in with our takeaway. There was enough food for an army! And all at such a reasonable price. Highly recommend 👍

Now under new managment, the the place is spotlessly clean, the fish is cooked whilst you wait, so it is beautifully fresh, and mouth watering, the chicken is cooked on the spit roast and is beautiful and juicy. The chips are cooked fresh so not left standing getting cold. The staff are amazing, welcoming and you can have a laugh. The restaurant is all clean and repainted, looks lovely and fresh with plenty of light. To be honest, when the last owner was there, the food and the shop went down hill, now under new management, i wouldn't go anywhere eles. They are always looking to make the place better by introducing new foods such as spare ribs and vegetarian foods. I give this shop 5 stars for the hard work they are doing to make that a great chip shop, just go try the food yourself, i bet you will be very happy. Well done guys, you have done wonders. ☺
