This is our yearly treat when we visit Glastonbury! We love it!!! They're Sunday roasts are just glorious. Amazingly cooked meats, masses of veg (you definitely won't go hungry) and delightful service. They never compromise on friendliness, quality or quantity and are very reasonably priced! A definite visit when in the area!!! Thank you to all the staff!!! ❤️💕💖

Excellent. We eat here quite often on a Sunday. The portions are huge. Food is piping hot. We very rarely go anywhere else for Sunday lunch. My beef was cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly. This pub is a hidden secret in the country. Recommend, but you have to book.

I was travelling alone and came to this lovely little pub looking for some food and a warm place to rest. It is so charming, and the staff are wonderfully friendly. I came back the second night, and both evenings I had really delicious food. The slow braised lamb fillet was the best I've ever had, and the red wine sauce was simply divine. Such a friendly, welcoming place, I'd highly reccomend a visit and that you try their yummy food if you're I the area visiting the Somerset levels and starling murmurations. Also close to Glastonbury.

We nearly drove by, the exterior is a bit grim and uninviting. But we were hungry so went in and were pleasantly surprised. Welcoming, warm and a great Sunday lunch with superb vegetables. The evening menu looks interesting too so we'll be back!

What a lovely cafe adjacent to the pub. We will certainly be visiting again when we return to Somerset.

The place looks a little run down from the outside but do not let that put you off. The bar maid is friendly and accommodating but most importantly the food is just unbelievable. I never understood passing compliments to the chef until I visited here. Cannot recommend enough. Drooling even just remembering the food now. Free parking on site.

Better than the Sheppey! Just come back from here for my stepsons birthday and the food was amazing!! Really delicious, beautifully presented and well priced. The staff were lovely too. They catered for coeliacs and although didn't offer a children's menu they could adapt any mains for the kids. There is a lovely outdoor area but it is not grass that is the only down side of this lovely little gem

Another example of don't judge a book by its cover, you could easily drive past this gem hoping to find a more traditional looking country pub, don't you should definitely eat here. The food was great, two of us had the roast Pork whilst the others had the Beef. Both were great, the beef just melted in the mouth and the crackling on the Pork was the perfect mix of not to crunchy but crunchy enough and not chewy and there was plenty of it. The deserts (apart from the specials) are shop brought but this is not a bad thing as the quantity was very good. There are a very limited number tables so you do have book.

If you are looking for a well cooked, generously proportioned and delicious Sunday lunch, this is for you! Service attentive and friendly and an amazing range of vegetables. No room for pudding, but it is available. Dog friendly for well behaved hounds so our golden retriever was welcome. This is a little treasure and worth a visit. Warning ... booking essential for later diners Tues to Sat (7.30 onwards) and not open Mondays and kitchen currently closes at 1.45 on Sunday when no evening service.

Lovely pub, very friendly staff. We had an early evening meal from the new menu. I had a burger and it was one of the best ones I've ever had! Highly recommend going here but definitely book up.
