Good food from this local pub. Eating in the restaurant area preferable to the main bar area
I found out about this place by accident, and decided to try them. I ordered over the phone and drove to collect, rather than wait for a delivery.
I was VERY happy with the food. it was piping hot, and tasted good.
The batter on the haddock was perfect. The mushy peas and curry sauce were really good. Battered sausage and smoked sausage were perfect.
I have lived here over 20 years and this is the best fish&chips I have had in the area. It is 1-2 miles further than one of their competitors but well worth the extra couple of minutes.
There is a large car park immediately next to Hosie's.
My first visit, but definitely will not be my last. I would recommend giving them a try.
Had three fish suppers tonight. The service was lovely and friendly. The fish and chips were fantastic best fish we've had in ages. Batter beautiful and crispy, the fish was fresh and moist. Top marks xxx
I telephoned in my order for 2 fish and chips collected very pleasant service food was ready piping hot drove to a Torphins still beautiful and hot will defo be going back very tastyx

Best fish and chips we have had in a long time. Quality produce used, Great value for money.
Stopped for supper when passing through - very friendly, quick and tasty haddock, scampi and kids' chicken nugget suppers.
Been here a few times now and I would say its one of the best chip shops I've ever been to, the chips are fantastic 5 stars
