We liked this pub a lot. Very clean. We split a burger that was very good. Classic wooden floors and comfy furniture. We hung out here for a while taking a rest for walking around the town for a couple of hours. The beer selection was very good. Sam enjoyed the G&T. The toilets were clean.
Very friendly pub with warm, inviting atmosphere. Great selection of beers poured by helpful bar staff. Bar staff are also friendly. I couldn't keep my eyes off the scattered vintage furniture and curiosities. That's when I decided to get the camera out. Lovely place. Will definitely visit again.
Was unsure what beer to go for, so asked Alice, and she recommended the four quarters of different ales for a fiver. This impressed me and has a result, I stayed longer. Alice was eager to tell me about a particular German brewery being the oldest working brewery still brewing. Superb beers, good mu
Dropped in for a drink to break up a long journey from London. I was impressed with the choice of low-alcohol options, and with the knowledgeable chap behind the bar. I enjoyed a couple of cans of Big Drop milk stout in perfect peace and quiet. I have family in the area, so will be sure to drop in
Really good food, compliments to the chef! Excellent service. But can see why it was so quiet when we went here. It’s not easily accessible, no disabled toilets not family friendly, no baby changing, no high chairs. Majority of seats are stools & high tables. Good for a night out though
We had dinner here many times and we are always very happy about the food. Sunday roast was absolutely delicious with impressive presentation. Meat was super tender. Even the vegetarian nut roast was super tasty, too. Brownie was fantastic. Staffs were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely
Good selection of ales that changes fairly regularly. Comfortable place to drink and chat without being distracted by loud music or tv"s. Big servings of food, better than average but not as memorable as the drink offerings.
Sunday roast super yummy! It didn’t feel like typical English pub, it had that nice modern vibe, look and feel. We loved the decor. All meats and vegetables cooked to perfection very nice side veggies different, but how nice! Staff very nice and friendly, attentive. What can I say great place, I
Superb little pub! Great choice of gins and ales. Food is amazing. Staff are super-friendly. Good mix of dining/seating options and cozy sofa corner. Loos are always clean and very well presented.
Awesome place to visit for food coffee or some great Ales and craft beers. Just on the outskirts of the town centre. The Fork n Ale is an excellent place for a drink and or food. Great staff and as well as some fixed craft beers you will find a constantly changing great selection of Ales to choose
