Wow what a great idea to go here, food was out of this world. Staff were great and polite,a credit to the owners.We spent over three hours here, Could have stayed all day.We would be silly to stay away, see you all soon. Dave &Angie.
I have been meaning to go here for a few years as I had heard such great things about it. This place is excellent. The food is made fresh, the servings are large and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The building and decor are light, airy and modern.There is a huge garden too. I would definitely recommend it.

Lovely meals, great value for money. The gazebo was great...anything with pretty lights looks great at night too. We've been twice - once in the cold in May and once in July. Not been disappointed on either visit and will definitely go again
Found this gem after a google map search and reading the reviews. We were not disappointed - everything from our welcome, service and food, ambience and just general feel good was excellent. Will definitely return.
Was booked for a wedding party, very friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good, cannot fault, portion sizes are big so bear this in mind if ordering starter/pudding.

Just the staff need to speak up when serving the food especially to a large party of people, apart from that absolutely nothing wrong at all.

Good food, but most impressed with the staff as they were very busy but still attentive, they also told us as we came in (as a walk in) that they had paused orders for a while so not to overwhelm the kitchen and told us the delay and they understood if we didn't want to wait. I love this communication not only with the customers but also with the kitchen and front of house just seamed very organised and like a true team.

My second visit for a meal, the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. The service is freindly and helpful. There are few places that serve food a good as i can cook at home, but now i have found this place i will be eating out more often.
Lovely welcoming staff and an interesting menu. Traditional pub favourites and some great Nepalese dishes too. Well worth a visit.
Unfortunately, I was there for a funeral wake. The lady behind the bar was so lovely and apologised as she was struggling to do everything as she was on her own for most if the afternoon. Good food and a great little pub.

Beautiful meal in a beautiful setting. First time visiting The Chequers and certainly won't be the last. The food was delicious!
We have a lovely meal the service was great. I would recommend going there the memu and prices you very good. Enjoy
We nipped up chequers as we were at baytree nursery, the staff were very friendly and the meals were excellent with enough on the plate. Thanks again we'll come back cheers ginge & jayne
