Friendly service that felt genuine. Good quality food, except for slightly disappointing jacket potato. Good portion sizes. Great view of Harbour. As a solo customer, I felt really comfortable.

Well it’s all started very well till we tried to order dessert After meal we were waiting for someone to come with the menu so that took about 20 mins then another half an hour we were waiting for anyone come to take our order until we gave up and asked for a bill The lady who I guess was the manager was very disappointed but unfortunately we would be sitting there for ever probably Took dinner orders didn’t take that long but wait so long for dessert? Sorry but big disappointment

Lovely family run pub by the Quay. Great atmosphere inside, love the gallery sitting upstairs, nice view over looking the water if you sit by the window. New York Deli Style was delicious and generous portion. Tried the cold river cider as well which was very refreshing. Saw other people having a roast dinner which looked fantastic, the Yorkshire puddings looked huge. Service was very quick and staff were very attentive. Would definitely visit again.

Absolutely wonderful afternoon treat with my mini pirate. Tiger served us & she couldn’t have done more to make our experience really lovely. My little 4 year old felt very special & really loved how attentive Tiger was. The other staff all seemed friendly too. The team had a very busy Sunday all under control & nothing seemed to much. We had fried & Brie bites. Both great & the atmosphere was spot on. We’ll be back, thanks again :)

I had the crispy crab cakes and they were so delicious with the lime mayo. The steak sandwich, was good too but heavy on the caramelizes onion personally. And fries of course great. The service was fast and friendly, I thought the decor is a bit out dated but it feels like such a nice summer vibe, it was very busy.

This pub is in a lovely location, near to the estuary, one of the nicest parts of Weymouth. We caught it at sunset, and the whole area looks beautiful, ideal for a post or pre dinner stroll. The George had some nice pub fayre, a cut above the usual pub grub. My Mexican burger was tasty and spicy with plenty of jalapeños, just the way I like it. Perhaps the bun could have been a little more moist. The coleslaw wasn’t anything to write home about, to be perfectly honest. There was a nice portion of fries. I was actually full up before I could finish. My brother had linguini which he absolutely loved. We also had a mackerel pâté which, again, got mass approval from all those who tried it. The service in The George was excellent, friendly and welcoming. The place also looks great, with a bit of character yet unfussy. A very pleasant place to have a meal and a drink.

This place is fantastic, lovely food, staff were welcoming, friendly & efficient. Lovely venue overlooking the old harbour. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day in Weymouth, so we were able to sit outside & just soak up the atmosphere, while eating from a good sized menu & drinking chilled beverages. Dogs were allowed outside & kept well watered. I will definitely be looking to visit this establishment again soon.
