Great hotel, close to Weymouth Harbour and Beach. Perfect base for a mini family getaway. Rooms are clean and modern. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Good atmosphere, can get busy but not overly packed, you can at least get 2 pints and still get change from a tenner, unlike a lot of pubs these days. Live music is good.

Stumbled on it by accident after looking for somewhere for a drink after dinner, abs heard some music so went in. Great atmosphere and live music on Saturday night. Everyone up dancing and having a good time. Busy, but not uncomfortably crowded.
Went back again on Sunday and much quieter, but still had a good night and little boogie as more live music on.

We had a large family weekend away 31/3-01/4, all the staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was big, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was being refurbished, so no food which we knew about on booking. The location is perfect for harbour/seafront and high street. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

I booked the golden lion 4 my self my husband and our 2 close friends a cupples night away.we arrived at the old lion and was met with so much welcome the land Lords couldn't have been more nicer or helpful .(1st place we have ever stayed where we were made so welcome. )the rooms were clean with fresh towels. the food was fantastic and they couldn't help us more if they tried. I can honestly say this place is brilliant and I can't wait 2 come back in a few weeks .this place with its great location its brilliant landlords and staff is the best so if u want a lovely welcoming pace go there .we loved every minute.
