Comfortable, good tasty food

Such a cute friendly little tea shop.
I can't wait to "pop in" again the next time we are in the area

We had a wonderful lunch at The Toby Jug. Loved the fresh bread, locally sourced ham, chutney and crisp salad ... and the scone with homemade strawberry jam and cream. The tea shop is spotless and has a lovely homely feel. Everything is presented and served very professionally on pristine white crockery ... and in a friendly manner. Couldn't fault it in any way.

Excellent great tasty food friendly service

Without doubt, our favourite cafe anywhere by far. The owner's pastry cooking is exceptional - delicious cakes and tarts. Along with her daughter, Jane, you get a lovely welcome and they always come outside to look over our latest motorcycle. We were worried that after the floods, they might not reopen. But with true British grit they battled through, so the café is once again open and spotless, in a lovely stone cottage setting. Highly recommended.
