My wife and I are regulars in the Black Bull. It is family run and they are all very nice and welcoming. The food is excellent particularly if you like a large portion. I definitely recommend it.
An "out of the way" delight. The home cooked food here is excellent and the portion sizes are very generous - you will not come away hungry! The chicken parmesan meal - the cheddar covered one in the pictures - is amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the journey for
Whilst staying in some local accommodation we visited this pub 3 times and had no issues at all.
The place is traditionally warm snug and relaxed with no modern distractions.

The food in the Black Bull was superb. Me and my dad had a brilliant meal and I had the sticky toffee pudding with custard and caramel sauce. I have to say it was scrumptious. Highly recommended 😃

Eaten here tonight and it was fantastic! Last minute table secured as they had a party booking. Warm welcome by friendly staff. Great beer and varied food menu. The chicken curry was amazing. Good value too.

The food is amazing. Try out the giant Yorkshire pudding with either chicken or beef with gravy, veg, and chips or potatoes - they have this on everyday and it's gorgeous.
